<strong>Top Wing Players at the Red’s Super 64 Showcase</strong> By Michael Wholey 10/14/21 10:00 AM EST <em>Rob Walker with Tampa Thunder annually hosts the Red’s Super 64 Showcase.  This year it was held at Carrolton Day School in Tampa and had over 80 individuals in attendance, showcasing their skills to a number of D2, D3, NAIA, and JuCo coaches throughout the day.  Here are the top wing players that we saw in the gym! </em> <strong> </strong> <strong><img class="size-medium wp-image-331229 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/68-Monajah-Ford.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />[player_tooltip player_id="331738" first="monajah" last="ford"]</strong> - 5’9 Guard / Wing – Class of 2023 (Auburndale High School) <em>ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.2, SAT: 1200, ACT: 25</em> Ford has a really long wingspan and is an active rebounder on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor!  Standing only 5’9, she often plays like she is 5’11 or 6’0.  She plays with a fearlessness that she consistently puts her body in hards way by diving on the floor, mixing it up down low, and going aggressively to the boards! &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="247211" first="Kaliyah" last="Gaynor"]</strong> - 5’8 Guard/Wing – Class of 2023 (Armwood High School) <em>ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.7</em> Gaynor is an intriguing, long, raw athlete.  Her body stood out in the showcase as she was longer and faster than most players she competed against in the gym.  Her physical attributes allow her to be an impactful two-way player.  She has a high ceiling as her skill set catches up with her physique. <strong> </strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244003" first="Monique" last="Joseph"] - </strong>6’1 Wing/Forward – Class of 2022 (The King’s Academy) <em>ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.0 </em> Joseph is a strong wing who can also play as an undersized post.  She competes on every possession running the floor, rebounding, and getting her hands on a lot of balls.  She is a hustle player who does all the little things that teams need to win games and have a positive team culture.  By consistently going to the boards, diving on the floor, deflecting balls – she sets the tone of her team and her energy and passion is often contagious! &nbsp; <strong><img class="size-medium wp-image-300034 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/81-Jordan-Race-2-e1623250186369-crop-1320x867-1624390682-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" />[player_tooltip player_id="243926" first="Jordan" last="Race"]</strong> - 5’11 Guard / Wing – Class of 2023 (The King’s Academy) <em>ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.5 </em> Race is a skilled player with great length for a perimeter player.  She is a coaches daughter who has a high basketball IQ and good court awareness.  She is a versatile offensive player who is a good passer, has good court vision, solid handle, a good outside shooter and can finish at the rim. &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248869" first="Ionna" last="Garcia"]</strong> - 5’11 Wing – Class of 2022 (Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy) <em>ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.68, ACT: 18</em> Garcia has intriguing length, with a long wingspan, and excellent athleticism!  She has an impressive vertical and gets off the floor quickly along with soft hands.  She runs the floor hard in transition and gets a number of easy baskets by outrunning teams on the offensive end.  She is a solid rebounder from the wing position and gets to the rack off the bounce from the perimeter, often finishing high at the rim! &nbsp; We will look to continue to cover all across the state of Florida.  Our audience supplies us with some of our best information.  Keep us updated on Florida news be emailing me at <a href="mailto:WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com">WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com</a> or DM’ing me through Twitter or Instagram @WholeyPrepHoops.
