[player_tooltip player_id='514564' first='Jailyn' last='Williams'] was arguably the most impressive power forward in the building. If every player lined up and the question was asked, “Which one looks like a college athlete?” — Williams would likely be the answer. She showcased her versatility throughout the game. In one sequence, she connected from the outside with a three-pointer, then turned around and went coast-to-coast for a powerful finish at the rim. She showed her strength, skill, body control, and creativity all in one play. She played with an aggressive mindset, attacking in transition and putting constant pressure on the defense. Williams's energy, physical tools, and downhill style made her a difficult matchup in the post, on the perimeter, and in the open court. Williams' energy, physical tools, and downhill style made her a difficult matchup in the post, on the perimeter, and in the open court. During the 6A semifinals, she looked dominant — performing with the presence and confidence of a college-level power forward. Williams will be fun to watch at the next level

[player_tooltip player_id='514519' first='Carleyssia' last='Wallace']'s biggest feat was leading her team to the final 4, and then to the 6A Finals. To be one of the last 2 teams standing is an impressive feat. In the FHSAA final four, Wallace showcased her basketball skillset - ball handling, timely shooting, and showing the competitive fire that burned throughout the games on the court. Wallace's double-double semifinal game comes to mind, where she pulled out all the tools- shooting the three (2 three pointers), leading the fast break, and grabbing 10 rebounds off the glass (5 offensive rebounds). Wallace was the catalyst for Bayside, along with her twin sister Ellieyana. Carleyssia had a major workload that showed mainly during the semifinals - ball handling, shot creator, and facilitator for her team. Defensively, Wallace had three blocked shots, three steals, and was a major factor down the stretch of the semifinals.

[player_tooltip player_id='514635' first='DJ' last='Myers'] was one of the toughest competitors in any division. She brought toughness and energy that translated directly into winning. In the finals, the 5'9 Myers was a fierce competitor against Winterhaven's twin towers. She finished with a team-high 8 rebounds and led the team in blocked shots. She consistently battled inside on both ends of the court and secured possessions for Doral. Her 4 offensive rebounds speak to her hustle and will to win. Myers also knocked down a key three-pointer and played physical defense against Hall and Mercredi in the 7A Finals. Her effort on the glass and defensive intensity were the difference in the game. Myers is one of those players whose leadership and impact stand out with the "eye" and not necessarily the scoresheet.

[player_tooltip player_id='811411' first='Ronneisha' last='Thomas'] came into the final 4 with a lot of Final 4 experience and has been on both sides of the trophy ceremony. Thomas played her usual game in the finals, with a hand injury. Despite the heavily taped hand, she scored 13 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and secured 4 steals. Her bread and butter is her defense- on the ball and passing lane awareness separate her from most guards. She is always on the move and has very active hands and quick feet. Thomas flourishes in transition, where her speed is noticeable. Thomas was impactful in the final four and found herself once again on the winning side of the trophy ceremony.

[player_tooltip player_id='1222632' first='Alyse' last='Mercredi'] was very productive and proved to be a prospect who can impact the game on both ends of the floor. In the semifinals, she scored nearly 30 percent of her team's points and grabbed close to 50 percent of the rebounds. Mercredi pulled up at the free-throw line with a sweet midrange jumper followed by a three from the top of the key. The junior forward consistently competed on the glass, altered shots, and gave her team second chance opportuniites. With her blend of size, skill, and effort, Mercredi not only produced at a high level but also showed glimpses of what her senior year could look like next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1235145' first='Camila' last='Velasco'] was one of the top Sophomores in the building, and her poise, control, and performance under pressure were impressive. Velasco was a player who did a little of everything. She moved the ball well, played in sync with her teammates, handled the ball well, and hit some timely shots in a very close and competitive game where each possession mattered. What separated Velasco was her composure and feel for the game. She never looked rushed, played within herself, and contributed across the board. Her all-around performance reflected a high ball IQ and a player who plays well beyond her age.
