Bulldog Jamboree: Purnell Swett Standouts

St. Pauls hosted the Bulldog Jamboree over the weekend. Purnell Swett had a variety of talent contributing to their performance on the court. She anticipated passes well on defense jumping into passing lanes, and she immediately pushed it up the court. She was grabbing steal after steal in the second half scoring in transition and battling through contact for some old fashioned three point plays. [player_tooltip player_id="275244" first="Kylie" last="Chavis"] | 2023 Chavis (pictured above) did a great job hustling after her opponents, especially sneaking behind them when they thought they were breaking free on a fast break. She crashed the boards going after rebounds, and she certainly pushed them up the court with ease finding her open teammates. She made sure to follow shots on offensive fast breaks to put the ball back up from rebounds. She showed off her ranged with her three point shooting. [player_tooltip player_id="201996" first="Natalie" last="Evington"] | 2023 Evington shot well from behind the arc. She even pulled up from real deep scoring a three in the face of her defender. She was very athletic going after steals on defense, and she did well driving to the hoop. She had a nice finish at the rim, and she can also pull up for a jump shot throwing off her opponents. Nyla Mitchell | 2023 Mitchell showed off her deep shooting ability on multiple occasions. She ran the floor well making sure she was available on fast breaks. She slid behind her opponents finding the gaps in order to get the pass and score. Her timing on the defensive trap was helpful grabbing steals for her team and thwarting the opponent.
