About Our Rankings
Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
You can take a look at the Class of 2023 Rankings HERE:
Emma Risch Emma Risch 6'2" | PG Palm Bay | 2023 State #23 Nation FL
Height: 6’2
Position: PG
Overall Rank: 1
Positional Rank: 1
High School: Palm Bay
Travel Team: East Coast United
Risch stays at the top, holding onto the # 1 spot. The recent Notre Dame verbal commit has widely been considered one of the nation’s top point guards and was sought after by the who’s who of college basketball. She is a 6’2 skilled point guard who can pass, shoot, handle the rock, and has a high basketball IQ. Her height is a unique feature for a point guard and really opens up the floor for her and separates her game from others. She has a super heigh ceiling and when she is engaged and playing well, there are few very players in the country capable of guarding her.
Chloe Kitts Chloe Kitts 6'2" | SF Faith Christian Academy | 2022 FL
Height: 6’2
Position: Wing
Overall Rank: 2
Positional Rank: 1
High School: DME Academy
Travel Team: Central Florida Elite
Kitts game continues to grow and expand with each passing year. Like Risch, Kitts 6’2 build is unique for a perimeter player and opens up a number of things for her and allows her to impact the game on both the offensive and defensive end because of her height and length. Her offensive game has really blossomed as she has grown into her body and fully transitioned to a perimeter player. She can grab defensive rebounds and start the break going coast to coast all the way to the rim, knock down the open 3, pull up from mid-range, and is a very willing passer. She is a big-time prospect who continues to improve and get better every time I see her! She jumps up 5 spots from # 7 overall to the # 2 overall prospect in the class of 2023.
Taliah Scott Taliah Scott 5'8" | SG St. John's Country Day | 2023 State #31 Nation FL
Height: 5’8
Position: Shooting Guard
Overall Rank: 3
Positional Rank: 1
High School: St. John’s Country Day
Travel Team: FGB
Scott is an elite scorer who is a high-volume shooter and can flat out put the ball in the basket. The University of Arkansas verbal commit is a superb athlete who can play all three perimeter positions. She can knock it down from 3 but is most dangerous off the dribble and attacking the basket. She has an explosive first step and can finish high at the rim.
Yakiya Milton Yakiya Milton 6'4" | PF Mandarin | 2024 FL
Height: 6’4
Position: Wing / Forward
Overall Rank: 4
Positional Rank: 1
High School: University Christian
Travel Team: East Coast United
Milton had a coming out party this past year. Like Risch and Kitts, her height and length are major factors in her potential and productivity. From the wing, she will shoot the 3, attack the rim and can handle the rock. But at 6’4 she impacts the game at a much higher level on the defensive end by pressuring the ball, playing the top of the press, rebounding and blocking shots in the paint. Her stock skyrocketed this summer and was one of the summer’s biggest stock risers with unlimited potential. Her game has made tremendous strides, and with her slender build and superb length and athleticism, she is a major college prospect! We previously had Milton outside the top 100 and move her all the way up to # 4 overall.
D’Yanis Jimenez D’Yanis Jimenez 5'9" | PG Charlotte | 2023 State FL
Height: 5’9
Position: Point Guard
Overall Rank: 5
Positional Rank: 2
High School: Charlotte
Travel Team: Miami Suns
Jimenez is one of the most athletic and talented guards in the state with a smooth, calming presence on the court. She is a natural born scorer who is extremely skilled and can score in a variety of ways. She has elite scoring ability – taking players off the bounce with ease, knocking down open 3s, and consistently playing downhill. She is crafty and savvy with deep range forcing defenders to defender her 2-3 feet past the 3-point line and uses her shot fake well when defenders close out hard to get into the paint and create scoring opportunities for herself and others.
Alancia Ramsey Alancia Ramsey 6'0" | PF St Thomas Aquinas | 2023 State FL
Height: 6’0
Position: Forward
Overall Rank: 6
Positional Rank: 2
High School: St. Thomas Aquinas
Travel Team: Essence
Ramsey is an old school, undersized post who plays hard, physical, and aggressive. She consistently is the game’s leading rebounder, capable of a double-double every game, and competes on every possession. She jumps up 6 spots from # 12 overall to # 6 because she was one of the summers most productive players helping Essence 16U EYBL squad to a Steller 2021 travel season. Her heart and energy are infectious to her teammates, and she is a joy to watch. Her transfer from American Heritage Delray to St. Thomas Aquinas is a big move in the high school landscape as she was named Palm Beach 5A-1A Sun Sentinel Player of the Year averaging 21 points and 13 rebounds per game. She will be a key factor in St. Thomas Aquinas pursuit of back-to-back State Championships.
Rhema Collins Rhema Collins 6'2" | SF Webb(TN) | 2023 TN
Height: 6’2
Position: Wing
Overall Rank: 7
Positional Rank: 2
High School: The Webb School (TN)
Travel Team: Miami Suns
Collins remains in the Florida rankings despite transferring from Schoolhouse Prep to The Webb School in Tennessee due to her big-time summer with the Miami Suns Team Fowles on the EYBL circuit. She is an impressive athlete that can play the wing and forward spot. She has a big time vertical and does a good job putting it to the floor going right from the wing and baseline. She uses her athleticism well by being an active rebounder, running the floor consistently in transition, and defending both perimeter and interior players. She averaged 14 points a game as a Sophomore last season and has picked up a number of scholarship offers including Auburn, Southern Miss, FAU, Georgia Tech, Houston, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, St. Johns and West Virginia.
About Class of 2023 Rankings
This is the third release of the class of 2023. We have taken a look at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games. We have done our best to rank the players based on what we have seen personally. Our next updated ranking will be released in January of 2022.
