As we near the start of the regular season, Prep Girls Hoops Iowa will now be releasing Preseason All-State teams. These selections are made based on their expected impact this season and will not include any incoming freshmen. We will release statewide All-State teams encompassing all classes as well this coming Friday afternoon.
Here are the First, Second, and Third Team Prep Girls Hoops Iowa All-State selections as well as the Class 3A Preseason Player of the Year pick.

There is a ton of talent in 3A this year and multiple deserving players. [player_tooltip player_id="127626" first="Gracie" last="Schoonhoven"] gets the nod as she scored 18.4 points a game but also added in over 4.5 assists, rebounds, and steals a game last year. One of the most important players to Unity Christian’s state title run is back and ready to get her team back to Wells Fargo.

There is so much talent on this first team and each will have a huge impact on their team. [player_tooltip player_id="127626" first="Gracie" last="Schoonhoven"], our 3A Preseason Player of the Year, had a great year last year as she was #8 in scoring in 3A. She scored 18.4 points a game and dished off 6.0 assists a game. [player_tooltip player_id="63568" first="Brooklyn" last="Meyer"], a South Dakota State commit, scored 16.0 points a game and added in 9.7 rebounds a game last season. She also blocked 4.6 shots a contest. [player_tooltip player_id="127623" first="Katy" last="Reyerson"] was dominant for West Marshall as she scored 20.1 points a game and grabbed 10.4 rebounds a game. She also pitched in five assists and steals a game. [player_tooltip player_id="63567" first="Ryley" last="Goebel"], a Northern Iowa commit, scored 18.2 points a game last season and grabbed 8.6 rebounds per game. [player_tooltip player_id="63580" first="Brooke" last="Loewe"], a Fort Hays State commit, scored 10.7 points per game and grabbed 3.5 steals a game last year as Ballard won the 4A State Title.

With the Second Team you have a few players who could push their way up to the First Team by the end of the year. [player_tooltip player_id="63641" first="Jaydan" last="Nitchals"] scored 16.1 points a game and grabbed 7.0 rebounds per game last season. [player_tooltip player_id="63618" first="Shae" last="Dillavou"], a Missouri-Saint Louis commit, scored 14.3 points a game last year and also grabbed 7.4 rebounds per game. [player_tooltip player_id="63571" first="Reagan" last="Barkema"], a Bradley commit, grabbed 4.5 rebounds a game last year and scored 14.2 points a game. [player_tooltip player_id="129016" first="Macy" last="Daufeldt"], a Drake volleyball commit, scored 14.4 points a game last year and grabbed 7.9 rebounds a contest. She also added in 3.5 steals. Jaden Ainley scored 13.8 points a game last year and averaged 2.9 assists and steals a game last year.

The Third Team has some players who are really under the radar but will have huge impacts on their teams this year. [player_tooltip player_id="63644" first="Emma" last="Salker"] scored 12.9 points a game and grabbed 7.2 rebounds a game last year. Catherine Mayhall scored 16.3 points a game and grabbed 6.8 rebounds a game while dishing off 4.8 assists per game. [player_tooltip player_id="163329" first="Lauren" last="Meader"] dished out three assists a game and notched 15.1 points a contest. [player_tooltip player_id="63061" first="Carlee" last="Rochford"] scored 15.0 points a game last year and also grabbed 5.8 rebounds per game. [player_tooltip player_id="129047" first="Alexis" last="Pingel"] scored 12.8 points per game while grabbing 2.1 steals a game last season.
