Continue ReadingThe graduating class of 2005 was the absolute best ever I have seen from the Houston area however the graduating class of 2004 produced the best foursome I have personally seen from one program. Alaina Lee (Murray State) was one of the best point guards to come out of the area, she made those around her better and at 5’4, she could drop against players over 6’0. Patrice Reado (Texas A&M) was one of, if not the greatest athlete to play, she once cuffed a shooter’s shot going in for a lay-up, slung it the length of the court, outran everyone, and DUNKED with the same arm she cuffed it with. Alicia McDaniel (Louisiana Lafayette) was one of the most versatile scorers and just found ways to put the ball in the basket and Tiffany Bogany (Alabama State) was simply a monster in the paint. That squad was from Madison, who didn’t lose a district game for 10 years, read more
Tyniah Smith, Makyah Foreman & Jasmine Timmons (Bellaire)
Fast forward to now as Bellaire has their own talented foursome, Sarah Gregory was out with food poisioning yet I know what she brings to the table at the 1, trust me, and also trust me on Cy Springs Ayla McDowell who made First Team All Tournament and more importanly, was crowned #D1Lock before that arrogant, entitled, idiot at Blue Star can say I copied him, I copy no one, #ThereIsNoMe
Avery Peakes (St John’s)
Peakes is heady and has a good feel for the game. She doesn’t force shots, nor plays and did a good job of finding ways to put the ball in the basket as she dropped double-digits
Makayla Foreman (Bellaire)
Foreman showed the “knockout” move to the basket, not sure if she’s related to George but that first step is a TKO but her pull up is nice, so is her upside
Tyniah Smith (Bellaire)
Smith is “long and athletic” so you know what that meansyet her intangibles are intriguing as she battles for rebounds, on both ends and scores after contact, also nice upside
Jasmine Timmons (Bellaire)
Timmons is showing signs of being dominant in the Lane as she tries to lead the Cardinals to the Summit and although I have never owned a Comaq, she is managing to show signs of doing damage and help turn this progarm into an Oasis. I know you probably don’t know what I’m talking about, yet she’s 6’3 with huge upside
Aaliyah Willaims (St Agnes)
Wiliams told me her name and I asked if she could sing, that caught her off guard and I quickly interjected, don’t worry, you’re going to be a hit because she’s athletic, plays the passing lane, nice first step to get the the rim and can drop the jumper, oh one more thing, she defends and plays the passing lane, well that’s 2 but she dropped those as well
