This class had plenty to show this weekend in Columbia. Just few names of note for down the road. Lauren Jacobs Lauren Jacobs 5'9" | PG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC and Sabreya Monsanto Sabreya Monsanto 5'11" | CG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC will be a nice duo for the Lady Cardinals and Head Coach Asia Dozier. Jacobs a sharp shotting guard has a quick shot release with great range on her shot. Monsanto NEVER stops while on the floor and is constantly stalking the ball. SaBreya doesn’t take plays off PERIOD. Constant HUSTLE and just a 9th grader.

Karlee Phelps Karlee Phelps 6'2" | C Gray Collegiate | 2025 State SC goes to work in the paint for the Gray Collegiate War Eagles. Phelps received plenty of playing time as an 8th grader last at nearby White Knoll HS. Karlee already has a good understanding of keeping the ball up high and sealing down in the paint. Karlee is extremely VOCAL on the floor calling out screens and really communicating with her teammates.

Anasia Harvey Anasia Harvey 6'0" | C Ridge View | 2025 State SC can play inside-out on the floor at times. Harvey another young promising post player in the 2025 Palmetto State class attends Ridge View HS. Arrington Earle Arrington Earle 5'8" | SF Hammond | 2025 State SC was able to come off the bench for the Hammond Lady Skyhawks and give some quality minutes and production. All of these ladies are in the 2025 Palmetto State class.

Making a Good First Impression

I’m watching the Hammond vs Dutch Fork game and I see a name I’m not familiar with. Lauren Vincent Lauren Vincent 6'2" | C Hammond | 2024 State SC (2024) post player attends Hammond. Vincent didn’t play last year because of the Pandemic while attending school Virtually. Vincent is a long and rangy forward in the middle for the Lady Skyhawks. Vincent can be a rim protector and rebounder down the road while working from block to block in the paint.

The Lady Diamonds Bring Constant Pressure

The Lower Richland HS Lady Diamonds throw a lot of pressure at teams and cause a lot of chaos while doing so. Head Coach Aaron Lucas are led by Anala Nelson Anala Nelson 5'8" | CG Lower Richland | 2022 State SC an Austin Peay signee for next season. The Lady Diamonds will counter with several guards and a very VOCAL bench. The Lady Diamonds look to SWARM the ball and bring constant pressure all game long. This team has plenty of talent to make a good run this year with this style of play.

Can The Champions Win It Again?

Can Cardinal Newman win a 4th Straight State Championship in SCISA Class 3A? The Cardinals can’t afford any injuries with such a small roster this season.
