Weekend Roundup: Top Frontcourt Performers
2024 5-8 W [player_tooltip player_id="302973" first="Riley" last="Black"] – Chestatee
Black is a burgeoning star in North Georgia, averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds per game to start the season. She has improved by leaps and bounds with her ball handling and now can initiate the offense by herself. She has room to grow off the catch, getting downhill off one quick move. Black can be methodically punishing as she puts her body on opponents and backs them down and spins her way to the rim. Riley can finish with either hand and is gaining consistency with her outside shot. Her aggressiveness, strength and nose for the ball make her an impactful rebounder for her size. Black will be on plenty of D-II radars sooner rather than later.
2022 5-9 W [player_tooltip player_id="302949" first="Riley" last="Allison"] – Chestatee
When Bubbles is hitting outside shots, Chestatee is at its most dangerous. Allison is a wiry perimeter player that serves as a 3&D wing for the War Eagles. She is tasked with guarding the other team’s top player and uses her length and foot speed to hinder their flow.

Down in the third quarter, the Emmanuel-signee’s activity in the paint helped keep the LadyCats afloat before they stole a 72-71 win at the buzzer from beyond halfcourt. Deetz crashed in for offensive rebounds and lived at the foul line going 7-12 for the game including 4-6 down the stretch in the fourth quarter. Deetz scored on quick drives to the hoop and knocked down the open three when presented. She will need to rebound better with two hands and prepare herself for the physical play of college. Deetz recorded 22 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.
2025 6-2 C [player_tooltip player_id="358673" first="Taliah" last="Gaither"] – Cherokee Bluff
The big freshman hurt Rabun County over the top on lobs as she scored efficiently around the rim with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Gaither is a big body with quality hands. She has a developing drop step and shows promise scoring off the glass. She has the raw tools to attract a lot of college coaches in due time.
2023 5-8 W [player_tooltip player_id="367756" first="Kiyah" last="Swint"] – Villa Rica
Swint is a physical swingman that can play 2-4. She can score at all three levels and uses her strength to her advantage when playing inside. She powers through contact and is a good rebounder for her height. Swint has three-point range a mid-range pull-up in her arsenal. She tallied 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals vs. Bowdon.
