2024: New Additions

Every set of rankings you always come across a few new players. Prep Girls Hoops did just that especially after losing games last year due to the Pandemic. Let’s take a look at some of these New Additions to the 2024 Palmetto State Rankings. Who’s making a debut this time around in the newest rankings? Read more inside right here. <strong>26 - [player_tooltip player_id="359523" first="Shyrique" last="Parker"] - Gaffney HS (pictured on front)</strong> Parker has really come on the scene for the Lady Indians with her play. Shyrique is a very athletic forward who really does a good job of filling the lane in transition and scoring the ball. She can post up players down low but, really seems to do her best work out on the perimeter as a wing player. Shyrique plays extremely active in the passing lanes picking up deflections and steals. Parker is currently averaging 16 ppg, 8.4 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.9 assists this season for the Lady Indians. Tatiana does all of her work down in the paint for Head Coach Justin Johnson. Fisher is currently averaging 12.5 ppg, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks this season for the Lady Red Foxes (9-8). <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-357568" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/DDB217FA-5B64-4F18-AAC3-D61760E0B454.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>44 - [player_tooltip player_id="357548" first="Shandi" last="Brown"] - Colleton County HS (Walterboro) </strong> Brown is a very athletic slasher who really likes to leak out in transition for cheapies. Brown can knockdown the occasional jumper but seems best getting the ball downhill to the cup. Shandi plays 4 sports for the Lady Cougars including volleyball, softball and track. Brown is averaging 15.6 ppg, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 steals this season for the Lady Cougars (9-7). <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-375654" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/01/F2BE5638-FB0E-4E7B-8816-D7AD2DFA5901.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>57 - [player_tooltip player_id="364921" first="Morgan" last="Jones"] - Pinewood Prep (Summerville) </strong> Jones came to the Palmetto State this season from the State of Massachusetts. Morgan attended Trinity Academy in Boston, MA last season. Jones has and wants to score the ball whenever she can. Morgan at times must get more engaged on the floor but has all the tools to be a player. Can she help the Lady Panthers get to Sumter this coming February for the SCISA Class 3A State Tourney? <strong>68 - [player_tooltip player_id="375057" first="Madison" last="Washington"] - Bluffton HS </strong> Washington is punching out a double-double every night for the Lady Bobcats this season. Morgan is averaging 10 ppg and 10.3 rebounds currently for the Lady Bobcats (11-1). Madison is a deceptive athlete and does a good job commanding the ball down low in the paint. <strong>85 - [player_tooltip player_id="370273" first="Taliya" last="Harris"] - Crestwood HS (Dalzell) </strong> Harris is a RAW talent for the Lady Knights. Taliya works from block to block and stays active away from the ball. Taliya has a good nose for the ball but still remains a bit raw with her offensive skills. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-358295" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/19F5C658-C397-43A6-A8E7-1AA41340FD93.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>87 - [player_tooltip player_id="357195" first="Kailyn" last="Ivey"] - Daniel HS (Central) </strong> Kailyn has a nice touch from 6-8-feet facing up to the basket. Ivey will play with her back to the basket and post up. She is currently averaging 4.7 ppg, 3.7 rebounds and 3 blocks this season for the Lady Lions.
