Fantastic Freshmen

One of four Freshman that have started for Glen Allen this season, she has an impact on all facets of the game. She is an elite shot blocker, already has multiple games in which she has recorded 8 blocks. Offensively, she is an inside out scoring threat with a nice stroke at the 3pt line. Unselfish and skilled passer in transition or half court set. Ava has a well rounded gamed on both sides of the ball. The sky is the limit for this young lady!

Riley Waite Riley Waite 5'7" | SG Glen Allen | 2025 State VA -2025-Glen Allen

Riley has taken on the point guard duties as a freshman and her game has grown as a result. She is calm and steady, sneaky athleticism and can play either guard position. She passes ahead in transition, nice one dribble pull-up and catch and shoot from the 3. Good defender, moves her feet well, guards 94ft. Active hands, creates deflections and steals and she has shown the potential to be a strong rebounder.

Moriah Tate-2025-Jefferson Forest

Moriah is an up and coming guard in the 2025 class. Quick, athletic lead guard for a young Jefferson Forest team. Good 3pt shooter with high IQ and passing ability. She has good court vision, can create for herself and teammates. Defensively, her quickness and anticipation led to steals and fast break opportunities for team.

Kaiden Kerkulah-2025-Thomas Jefferson

First look at this young lady, had a huge game this week in a close thriller vs. Hayfield, rebounding prowess led to a double, double with 13pts and 13 rebounds. Strong, gritty post player who hustles and plays tough. She does the intangibles, mentally tough kid and has lots of room to grow her game.

Georgia Simonsen-2025-Robinson

Big presence in the paint for a tough Robinson team. Georgia is a physical forward, protects the paint and is a dominant rebounder. She makes good reads on the offensive end, nice high/low game and powers through defenders to score. Tremendous upside for this young talent!

Trinity Jones Trinity Jones 5'9" | SG Monacan | 2025 State VA -2025-Monacan

Tough, smooth guard who gets work done inside and out. She is an outstanding rebounder from the guard position and a double, double threat nightly. Versatile defender, this season has shown she can effectively guard positions 1-4. Runs the lanes hard, finishes through contact and her jumper has steadily improved. As a freshman, she is one of the most consistent players for a talented Monacan team.

Sasha Brody-2025-Virginia Episcopal School

Sasha has made a name for herself this season. She has taken on the PG duties for a young VES team and also capable of playing off the ball. Uses a nice crossover and drops her shoulder to get past defenders, good balance on her pull-up jumper and strong frame allows her to absorb and finish through contact. COVID has impacted VES season, but Sasha has been a steady force and is ready to lead her team with a tough slate of games in the next few weeks.

Jemma Eleby Jemma Eleby 6'1" | PF Catholic | 2025 State VA -2025-First Colonial

Jemma has good size at 6ft, and a knack for scoring the ball. She can shoot the three or get it done around the basket. Difficult matchup as she finds multiple ways to score, taking advantage of smaller defenders and utilizes her dribble to get around slower forwards. Prolific scorer, had a 37pt outing and multiple 20pt games this season.

Elawnie Wilkins-2025-Woodbridge

Shooting guard who strokes it at the 3pt line and can score off the bounce, good control of her body in the paint allowing her to finish through contact. Playing along side talented seniors, she absorbs knowledge and she has made steady progress this season. Elawnie is one to watch in this talented freshman class.

Kenzie Board-2025-Franklin County

Emerging point guard prospect with good size at 5’8 who plays both sides of the ball. Crafty in the paint, able to finish over and around taller defenders with either hand. She has good court vision, creates opportunities for teammates and can get a bucket when needed. Sets up defenders with strong ball handling and has nice step-back 3pt shot. Is relentless defensively, long reach creates deflections and is a solid rebounder.
