Kansas 2024 Rising PPG Leaders

KSHSAA’s release of statistical <a href="https://kshsaacovered.com/news/2022/1/13/mens-basketball-high-school-basketball-state-statistical-leaders-jan-13-2022-update.aspx">leaders</a> as of January 13 offers a prime opportunity to take deeper looks into the data. Drawing data from sources like <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/list/stat_leaders.aspx?gendersport=girls,basketball&amp;state=ks">MaxPreps</a> and the Sunflower League, seeing a consolidated spot for some statewide numbers is enthusiastically received by me.  In this article I share data on a baker’s dozen of rising points per game leaders in the 2024 class. <strong>Kaylin Noonan</strong>, 5’7", SF, Burlingame - Through 8 games Noonan is putting up 19.6 points per game. <strong>Kaelee Washington</strong>, 5’10", Santa Fe Trail - 17.1 ppg.  Through 7 games Washington is putting up 17.1 points as well as 8.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game. <strong>Vi Heim</strong>, 5’10", CG, South Gray - Through 8 games Heim is averaging 15 points per game. <strong>Sydnie Jones</strong>, 5’9", SG, Bucklin - Through 9 games Jones is putting up 14.6 points 5 rebounds, 3.3 steals, and 3.2 assists per game. <strong>Caelyn Ferguson</strong>, 5’10", SG/SF, Heritage Christian - Ferguson is putting up 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 steals through 7 games. <strong>Kennedy Werth</strong>, Quinter - Werth is averaging 14.3 points 7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.7 steals through 7 games. <strong>Zoey Sims</strong>, 5’9", PF, Fredonia -  Through 8 games Sims is averaging 13.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals. She also has a strong 1.78 assists to turnover ratio. <strong>Gracie Riner</strong>, 5’4", PG, Osborne - Through 9 games Riner is gathering 13.1 points, 3.2 assists, and 3 steals. She has also knocked down 20 threes on 38% shooting. 3 [player_tooltip player_id="302141" first="Erika" last="Felker"], 5’6", PG/SG, Scott City - Shooting 39% from three Felker is averaging 12.9 points through 8 games.  She is also gathering 4 rebounds and 3.4 assists. [player_tooltip player_id="345514" first="Kylie" last="Disbrow"], 6’0", PF, Anderson County - While averaging 12.8 points through 6 games Disbrow made team history by racking up the first triple double January 7 with <span data-sheets-formula-bar-text-style="font-size:13px;color:#000000;font-weight:normal;text-decoration:none;font-family:’Verdana’;font-style:normal;text-decoration-skip-ink:none;">22 pts, 18 rebs, and 11 blocks.  Disbrow was inadvertently included in the 2023 rankings and will appear in the upcoming 2024 rankings refresh. </span> [player_tooltip player_id="300794" first="Taylor" last="Weishaar"], 6’1", PF, Riverside - Through 8 games Weishaar is tallying 12.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 2.1 blocks [player_tooltip player_id="300797" first="Joycelyn" last="Moore"], 5’5", PG, Shawnee Mission South - Moore is among the Sunflower League leaders with 10.2 points, 3.1 steals, and 2.5 assists per game. <em>Featured image: Scott City PG [player_tooltip player_id="302141" first="Erika" last="Felker"].
