Commitments by 2022s to play basketball or another sport trickle in as the weeks go by. The majority of the top 10 point guards have announced decisions or are close to it. Not to much further down the list there are quite a number of quality players still available. Here’s a look at some of them in rank order.
[player_tooltip player_id="48304" first="Gracie" last="Gilpin"], 5’6", Emporia - Gilpin followed up honorable mention honors by earning first team Centennial League a season ago. She shoots quickly off the catch and sets her feet well from three point range. Gilpin also has good quickness and control with the ball. She makes good decisions, brings toughness to the floor, and is solid defensively.

She is fast with strong handles, has quick hands and feet, and uses her high IQ to work hard off the ball. Schlesener boxes out, rebounds, and hits her free throws. Athleticism enables her to split double teams and score in a variety of ways, including from the three point line. As strong of an interior passer as she is a scorer she tallies numerous assists.

[player_tooltip player_id="124985" first="Kristin" last="Biltoft"], 5’7", Jefferson West - Through 7 games averaging 13.1 ppg, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 steals, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 assists to turnovers ratio. Biltoft earned 2021 Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) 3A honorable mention and is also a two-time Big Seven first team selection. She can hit the pull-up three and spots up well, but where she can dominate is in attacking gaps - especially against zones - and finishing athletically.

[player_tooltip player_id="124992" first="AmUnique" last="Cavitt"], 5’7", Wichita North - Cavitt had a terrific summer where she improved her overall physicality and sharpened her overall game. The Greater Wichita League second teamer has strong handles with speed and leads the break with her head up. She has solid strength to pass the ball ahead cross-court to a finisher. She is an athletic finisher who is also a solid perimeter shooter. She understands the inside game and can post well when needed. Her mid-range face-up game is especially good. As much attention Cavitt drew attracted I am honestly surprised she is still unsigned.

She can distribute off the bounce as well though and can hit the deep three. Has a tendency to try to do to much but Tindall, with her speed and handles, is a high potential game with all the tools to get there.
[player_tooltip player_id="124988" first="Landrea" last="Sears"], 5’6", Sedan - Sears is putting up good numbers for the 4-3 Devils, averaging 15.5 points.
