With our final rankings update for 2022, we had a lot of movement throughout the class and finished at 111 ranked players for 2022. Here’s a look at some of the biggest movers with this final update.
Lexie Moore Lexie Moore 5'9" | SG Owen County | 2022 State KY , Owen County (32–>17) – Lexie has been a fixture in the 8th region for a long while and rival coaches may send her graduation presents as a thank you for not having to deal with her anymore. She can score the ball all over the court and knows how to get her shot off because she’s faced double and triple teams for parts of her high school career.
Rylee Turner Rylee Turner 5'11" | SG Newport Central Catholic | 2022 State KY , Newport Central Catholic (63–>22) – Rylee has been fantastic all season long and deserved a massive move up the class rankings. She’s led the state in scoring for the entire season but has managed to do it while not forcing 100 shots per game. Turner has done it all for NCC this season and has shown that she is one of the elite scorers in Kentucky.
Hailee Valentine Hailee Valentine 5'6" | SG North Laurel | 2022 State KY , North Laurel (48–>27) – Valentine has been a star in the 13th region for a while now and probably been under-ranked since she entered the 2022 rankings. Hailee is an efficient scorer who has shown she affects the game on both ends of the court and is the leader of a really good Lady Jags roster that could play their way to Rupp next month.
Kennedy Williams Kennedy Williams 5'11" | PF Henry Clay | 2022 State KY , Henry Clay (80–>34) – Kennedy has been one of the best players in the 11th region this season and a double-double threat every night out. Williams is averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds per game in her Senior season and has Henry Clay a possible sleeper pick to win a game or two in the regional tournament this season.
Makya Grinter Makya Grinter 5'4" | CG Male | 2022 State KY , Male (59–>36) – The Lady Bulldogs have been one of the biggest surprises in Louisville basketball this year and Grinter is part of a balanced attack that has made them one of the teams to beat to win the 7th region. Grinter is a true two way wing capable of scoring double figures any night as well as being able to play hard nosed defense on opposing guards and wings.
