In this article we will now take a look at programs ranked outside of the top 10 for the state overall that have the pieces to make noise in the playoffs and state tournament.
Sumner High School (4A)
Maxpreps State Ranking: 15th
- Sumner has a senior heavy group led by Dixie State commits Alyson Deaver Alyson Deaver 6'0" | PF Sumner | 2022 State WA and Catelyn Deaver Catelyn Deaver 6'0" | PF Sumner | 2022 State WA who will dominate just about any team in the paint. Their rebounding, physicality and scoring in the paint bodes well for them come state tourney time.
Camas High School (4A)
Maxpreps State Ranking: 17th
- Camas is a 4A contender that is on the younger side with prospects such as 2025 Keirra Thompson Keirra Thompson 5'6" | PG Camas | 2025 State WA , 2024 Alana Washington Alana Washington 6'1" | SF Everett | 2024 State WA , 2024 Ava Smith Ava Smith 5'8" | SG Union | 2024 State WA , 2024 Reagan Jamison Reagan Jamison 6'1" | SF Camas | 2024 State WA . If this group can stay consistent with their focus and details of the game as a younger team.
Cashmere High School (1A)
Maxpreps State Ranking: 16th
- Cashmere always finds a way to be towards the top of the 1A classification and this year is no different. 2022 Riley Johnson Riley Johnson 5'8" | SG Cashmere | 2022 State WA who is headed to Central Washington is a great player that can shoot it and defend.
Lake Washington High School (3A)
Maxpreps State Ranking: 22nd
- Lake Washington is a team that can definitely sneak up on some people come playoff time. Idaho signee 2022 5’8 Rosa Smith Rosa Smith 5'7" | PG Lake Washington | 2022 State WA leads this crew with her handle, shooting and all around scoring ability. Washington volleyball signee 2022 6’4 Elise Hani Elise Hani 6'4" | C Lake Washington | 2022 State WA has been a double-double machine this season and will be an important key to this team making a deep run.
