She is here to dominate this season and everyone better take notice. Her motor is incredible and on the defensive side of the ball, she is a big problem. In transition, I don’t know who can really slow her down. She is a point guard who is a true leader and can dominate that position. She can put the ball on the floor and score on anyone, and can play through contact. Dominant and unstoppable. Moves up to the #2 overall spot in Ohio in the 2024 class. (pictured left)
[player_tooltip player_id="217339" first="Corri" last="Vermilya"], 5-9 2024, Loudonville
What can you say about Corri (pictured right) that hasn’t been said. She took her game to another level, and became such an powerful offensive threat she nearly scored 28 per game with all kinds of junk defenses thrown at her this season. She was a unanimous Player of the Year in both her league and her district, while being named first-team all-Ohio. She can score in a variety of ways, great handles and footwork. Smart player and a high basketball IQ. She was also named the Prep Girls Hoops D4 Ohio Player of the Year and deservingly so.
[player_tooltip player_id="217310" first="Kendall" last="Braden"], 5-9 2024, Toledo Christian
Her skill level in this class is off the chart, as she moved up from the last rankings. She is an incredible pure shooter from the perimeter, and is one of the best pure shooters in the class. Can score from the three, also can score consistently from the midrange. She handles the ball well and according to her AAU coach after last summer, her defense has really improved which will allow more interest to come her way. (pictured left)
[player_tooltip player_id="280083" first="Brooklyn" last="Vaughn"], 5-11 2024, Toledo Central Catholic
Like Douglas and Braden, Vaughn (featured photo above) plays this spring with the powerhouse known as Sports City U and look for a big spring from her. She has improved her finishing inside according to her AAU coach Bryce McKey and can play through contact. She is a very fierce rebounder, such as a Draymond Green type of player. She is an emotional and verbal leader and can run the floor well and guard multiple positions.
[player_tooltip player_id="280087" first="Mackenzie" last="Royal Davis"], 6-0 2024, Toledo Christian
According to her coach, her work ethic is amazing and she has worked hard in the weight room to be more athletic and very strong. She has improved her game away from the rim and is more aggressive with the ball. She has great handles, can shoot from the perimeter and is so physically strong she is a problem for her opponents. As an athletic post, she uses her body to create problems and should have a great spring.
