Noel Smith

Smith
5'7" | PF
Whitefield Academy | 2025
State
KY
– 5’7″ – Whitfield Academy
In two seasons, Smith has collected 661 rebounds. Finished with an average of 10 rebounds per game for a 9-way tie for 35th in the KHSAA this season and 12.1 rebounds per game to finish 12th in KHSAA in the previous season.
This opens the possibility that she may have 1,000 rebounds before the end of her Sophomore season (next year). That is a ton for a player that is only 5’7″ and playing in a 5-Out Offense. Which has to be limiting her potential to gather more rebounds and potentially score more points from the offensive glass.
This is your chance Coach, to land a female Rodman-type player without all of the tattoos and hair dye (she might wear the nail polish). Even though she is not off-the-radar here on Prep Girls Hoops you can bet that your competitors that do not subscribe are sleeping on this one.
Makayla Alexander Makayla Alexander 5'9" | PF Butler | 2025 State KY – 5’11” – Butler
Alexander has a sturdy body and a ton of athleticism. What impressed me most about her was seeing her run guard-oriented drills in practice even more than seeing her play in games.
She has the early signs of being somewhat of a positionless Big that could play any of the frontcourt positions. She has good handles and a good outside shot to go with some decent post moves. Seeing how she develops will be crucial.
Last season she averaged 3.5 points and 3.9 rebounds on a team that was loaded in the frontcourt with future College bigs. I would expect to see her role increase next season, especially as a rebounder.
Kayleigh Huffines Kayleigh Huffines 6'0" | PF Breckinridge County | 2025 State KY – 6’0″ – Breckenridge County
Huffines averaged 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds (tied for 1st on her team) last season for a team that is losing 3 of their 4 best rebounders to graduation. That leaves 14.5 rebounds per game for someone to pick up (in theory) next season and I would expect to see her grab the lion’s share of those.
Kristin Ritchey Kristin Ritchey 5'8" | PF Elizabethtown | 2025 State KY – 5’8″ – Elizabethtown
I’ve only seen Ritchey play once but she had a great game in a reserve role. She runs the floor and crashes the glass for points and what more are you looking for from a Power Forward off the bench than that?
She averaged 4.7 points and 3.3 rebounds this season playing on a young team with only 1 Senior. She should step into a larger role for the team next season and I look forward to seeing her continue to develop.
Addison Soutar Addison Soutar 6'1" | PF North Bullitt | 2025 State KY – 6’1″ – North Bullitt
Soutar is putting in the work, has the measurables and a great coaching staff helping her develop along with a young team that will be on the rise for the next few seasons.
She averaged 2.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game last season. She has to continue to work on her strength to compete in the interior but the core of her future as a player is strong.
Braylin Terrell Braylin Terrell 6'2" | PF Walton-Verona | 2025 State KY – 6’1″ – Walton-Verona
Terrell is in the Power Forward ranking at my suggestion but perhaps I should have put her in the Centers category. It was a bit of a toss-up decision.
She plays well with her back to the basket and has a nice shot from the elbow and short corner. She made 49.3% of her field goals this season and averaged 2.9 points and 3.7 rebounds. Her role has grown with the team over the season and looks to increase even further next year.
