I spent the afternoon speaking with evaluators, coaches, and players about the program and some of the players that will be with ECU this summer. Here were some of the top players I saw from the class of 2025/2026:
Jayden Terry Jayden Terry 5'8" | CG GHS - Gainesville | 2025 State FL | 2025
Jayden was playing up with the big dogs all day on Sunday. She’s absolutely going to stake her claim as one of the best 2025’s in the state. It’s really impressive when you watch a 2025 that can do it all, and when I say do it all, I’m talking: scoring, rebounding, passing, playing D, and communicating. JT was just named First Team ALL SIAA amongst the likes of high level D1 signees and prospects. She is the real deal and is going to be a major stock riser this summer.
Abby Knauff Abby Knauff 5'9" | SG Bolles | 2025 State FL | 2025
I’ve seen Abby in person before, and you can tell she works on her craft. She has a really good feel for the game and has great form and a high release on her shot. Abby can put it on the floor and get to the rim as well with nice elevation on her jumper when she decides to pull up instead. I really liked how she spotted up and had her feet/hands ready to hit a trey. She’s another really talented 2025 in the Jacksonville area.
Julia Vazquez Julia Vazquez 5'5" | CG Kings Academy | 2025 State FL | 2025
Julia had really good energy and played hard all afternoon. I really liked her ability to drive hard and dribble low to get to the hoop. She finished inside against older/taller players with a lot of strength. Her vision and passing were on full display, too.
McKenzie Neal McKenzie Neal 6'2" | C Okeechobee HS | 2025 NY | 2025
McKenzie showed how strong she is all day long. She can finish with both hands and is really tough to stop inside with her frame. She’s got soft hands and controlled the glass on offense and defense by getting position and using her athleticism and strength. There aren’t many players who can hang with her inside of 15 feet.
Lyric Blair | 2025
Lyric has fantastic size and a great frame for being so young. She’s a strong lefty that can own the paint and the glass. Her game is a little raw, but she has all of the tools to develop into a really good post player which are in high demand at the next level.
Audrey Beyer | 2026
Audrey gave me serious E. Risch (Palm Bay) vibes. Tall, lengthy, great shooter, and she even looks similar. Her frame, ability to get to the rim, and high basketball IQ at a young age makes her one of the best 2026’s in the state. Keep an eye out for this one!
Alanna Tatum Alanna Tatum 5'6" | PG University Christian | 2026 State FL | 2026
Alanna played well for University Christian all year, but she really stood out when she played against girls her own age on Sunday. She has a really quick first step and can drive by you in a hurry. She’s very athletic and has a solid jumper already, too. Watch for her to have a big summer playing on the travel circuit against kids her own age.
Imani Henderson | 2026
Imani is going to be a problem down low as she continues to develop. She has great length and size with the best frame I’ve seen as a 2026. I really liked her work on the glass and her body control. There is a lot of potential in her game.
