Jaida McClure (North Carolina, 2026, featured photo) does a great job getting inside for her own rebounds, and she knows how to push it right up the court to her teammates. She is so smooth handling the ball throwing off her opponents to get to the bucket. She is versatile on the court playing the point guard position to jumping for the jump ball. If I was a betting woman, I’d put my money on her every time she pulls up for the shot. She can easily make a move to the basket and turn around and grab the steal off of a sloppy inbounds pass to score some more points. She’s also a great defender using her size to prevent her opponents from scoring.
Kara Straub (Michigan, 2026) did a nice job of scoring with her back to the basket reading her opponent as she turned to face and score. Her hands were causing problems on defense knocking the ball away. She was deflecting passes on help making sure her opponents couldn’t even see the pick and roll play they were trying to get going.
Kiera Ross (Missouri, 2027) was grabbing steals right out from underneath her opponents’ noses, and she took them the other direction on solo fast breaks. She took the ball coast to coast calling bank as she battled through contact for two points.
Euleesha Mitchell (Tennessee, 2027) was great crashing the boards, and she knew exactly how to move to put them back up on offense. She had a nice power dribble to score some points. She was definitely a threat from downtown. Her close out on defense was great to watch as her opponents definitely didn’t want to try to shoot over her.
