A very talented freshmen class entered the fold this year and there has been quite a bit of movement and several newcomers since the last rankings update. The newcomers have made their mark as some of the best in the class with a few cracking the top ten. Here are six that should have their careers watched closely.
2025 Newcomers:
Nadeya Regala Nadeya Regala 5'9" | CG Elizabeth Seton | 2025 State MD – 5’9 – Combo Guard – Lackey #4
Right now she is the purest shooter in the class. She has college level size and skill and as she gets stronger the sky can be the limit for her. She has the ability to carry a team on her back to a championship on multiple levels if she chooses to and has all of the tools in place to be an all-American. If your not a die hard fan you have probably never heard of her but in a year or so she should be a household name depending on her summer work.
Deniya Prawl Deniya Prawl 6'0" | SF Mt. Zion Prep | 2025 NY – 6’0″ – Wing – National Christian Academy #5
There is no one better in the class than Deniya when she is locked in. Keeping her in killer mode for every game will be the challenge as she is talented enough to coast through and still be effective. She can take over games or just contribute but whatever she choses there are not many player in any class that can stop her when she is at 100%.
Milan Brown Milan Brown 5'9" | CG Mercy | 2025 State MD – 5’8″ – Combo Guard – Mercy #10
Milan is not being challenged much in her conference as she is by far the top player on her team and possibly in her league. Playing with and against the best is where the true test of talent is. She will no doubt get to show what she is truly capable of on the EYBL circuit where she will be reportedly playing this spring/summer. She is a quick and surprisingly strong guard with the physique of a goddess. She can get to the basket and elevate or knock down the outside shot. She faces some junk defenses and double teams in high school it will be nice to see her go mono y mono with some of the nations best.
Kennedy Hall Kennedy Hall 6'3" | SF Shabach | 2025 State MD – 6’3″ – Wing – Lackey #17
She will most certainly get confused her entire career with 6’3″ Kennedy Hall Kennedy Hall 6'3" | SF Shabach | 2025 State MD from Bishop McNamara but these two have totally different games. Kennedy (Lackey), desires to be in the perimeter and is a capable perimeter defender and has range out to the three. Her mid-range pull up jumper is good and accurate with good elevation and she has played some point guard with minimal pressure. She is effective with her back to the basket and has a nice touch in the paint. She can be over aggressive trying to block shots leading to foul trouble.
Precious Hill Precious Hill 5'10" | SF Anacostia | 2025 State MD – 5’10″ – Wing – Anacostia #24
Precious has good wing size and is very athletic at the wing. She should fall amongst the stat leaders for the DC Public School league but on the national stage she will have to continue her development. She can make outside shots and attack the basket but neither makes you have to prepare for her at this time. She excels on the defensive in where her quickness and timing to jump passing lanes can lead to open transition points, she also is active on the boards.
Mary Amoateng Mary Amoateng 5'8" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2025 State MD – 5’4″ – point guard – Pallotti #25
Mary is a quick point guard that finds gaps to attack before help can rotate. She draws fouls and gets to the line and can be a threat from the three when she gets hot. She has a nice crossover dribble and is effective in the lane despite her listed 5’4″ height. Pallotti has a young team and she will get plenty of floor time to continue to grow her game in the next couple of seasons.
