Expert Analysis

Nadeya is one of the better shooters in the region but she doesn’t look to shoot as much as I would like. She looked for her shot today and the three’s were dropping. A few rimmed out but were good shots. She got off ten shots and none were forced. She shot over 40% from the field and with her range and accuracy, no shot for her on the floor is a bad shot.

This will be the last time we will get to see one of the top shooters that we have seen in a while locally grace the floor. Hopefully she gets to let it rip and the Roadrunners will need her skills in order to advance far.

Nedeya put on a shooting exhibition knocking down shot after shot from long range. She was able to put the Roadrunners in the drivers seat early by opening up the score and opening the lanes for her teammates to attack. After the day it would be hard to argue that she isn’t in the top three shooters in the region.

Nadeya is a next level talent that can take a program to a title by herself. The Roadrunners lose Maya Lovelace and Alicia Newell but still have enough to sustain a championship level roster with a full lineup of talent. They finished as a disappointing 7th seed in the conference and will enter next season with the most complete roster in the conference. They will need to decide who will be the go to player and from what I see Nadeya is ready to be that player.

Nadeya had four 3-pointers in the first half, a game high 16 points and the MVP award. She is doing more than just a catch and shoot, she is creating her shots off the dribble and with movement without the ball. She is playing with emotion and it looks like she is having fun on the court while handling her business.

The WCAC is not prepared for Nadeya a key transfer into the Roadrunners program. They have a talented lineup with good size at every position, they also have bolstered up their coaching staff under head coach Cabria Johnson. I predict the Elizabeth Seton will make it to the championship game this season and will make the conference very interesting this season. Wathcing them in the fall they have the individual talent to win it all, if they can blend and fill their roles collectively as a team they will be hard to beat.

Nadeya rose to the top five showing that she regained the momentum that hade us so high on her as a freshman. Know for her shooting she is showing that she can lead a team as the floor general and control a game without taking a shot. She can also drop a twenty piece on demand.

didn’t shoot well early this weekend, but she caught fire in Elizabeth Seton’s last game. It’s worth mentioning Elizabeth Seton ran through almost every team they played last weekend. The one competitive game they had was their final one, and without

, they might not have won it. Nadeya knocked down 5 threes and finished with 24 of her team’s 59 points. I have seen Nadeya play in the past, and what always stands out to me is how difficult some of the shots she makes are. She can shoot while moving but is also a fantastic catch-and-shoot shooter. She has a green light for a reason.

. Nadeya struggled to make shots in her first 3 games. That all changed against St. Andrews. Nadeya exploded for 24 points on 13 shots. She poured in 5 threes, and in one of Elizabeth Seton’s only genuinely competitive games, Nadeya came up huge. Her shot is quick and looks nice, and she is a smooth basketball player overall. I enjoyed watching her shoot, and I knew shots would start falling at some point.
