Day 5 and many didn’t stay alive. One game on a big stage like this can definitely change your college stock. Here’s who stood out!

[player_tooltip player_id="129006" first="Macy" last="Sievers"] - Guard - Senior - Newell-Fonda - Macy is a leader on the court. Always communicating with her teammates what needs to be done in a good way. Strong aggressive ball handler who really pushes the pressure at all times. Solid three-point range and isn’t afraid to score at the rim. Her drive helped lead her team early as she got hot and had 13 at the half. <span style="font-size: 1rem;">[player_tooltip player_id="63616" first="Ellie" last="Hilbrands"] - Center - Senior - MMCRU - Traditional post player with great size. Plays with strength and gets a good post position. A well-rounded defender who alters shoots and gets blocks. Hit a big three late in the third to help put her team up six after the whole game had been close.</span>
<span style="font-size: 1rem;">[player_tooltip player_id="314094" first="Payton" last="Petersen"] - Forward/Center - Sophomore - Dike-New Hartford - 19 points 11 rebounds for the double-double. Posts up great. Can step out and hit the three with ease. A long defender who protects the rim well and is always going after the ball. </span>
[player_tooltip player_id="246105" first="Kamryn" last="Kurt"] - Guard - Sophomore- North Linn - Lead her team against a tough Garrigan team. They pressed her and trapped her all game and she was very effective at breaking down their press and getting to the rim to finish. Step back three game that makes girls look fall. She is very smooth and shakey with her ball-handling skills. Big spark of energy for the Lynx but just not enough to overcome all the weapons Bishop has. 19 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds in the tough loss.

[player_tooltip player_id="63572" first="Brooklynn" last="Smith"] - Center - Senior - Waterloo West - Smith started out strong with 8 points in the first half against the top ranked player in the state as her main matchup. She was aggressive early and went right at Jada. Her strong rebounding performance in the first half with 7 boards kept west in the fight. She has long wingspan. Post game was strong and snatches boards with a tenacity that others girls don’t even try to mess with it.
