Colleges are always looking for post prospects and Prep Girls Hoops Spring Showcase was host to several across different classes. Below are post prospects (centers) that colleges need to know about.
2023 6’4 C [player_tooltip player_id="249844" first="Naomi" last="Hotchkiss"] (Puyallup HS) - A junior post prospect that has shown improvement even from our last showcase in the Summer. Hotchkiss has a soft touch on her shot, developing footwork in the paint and ability to finish with either hand. Her work ethic and attitude are commendable and we look forward to seeing her continued progress.
2024 6’2 C [player_tooltip player_id="301038" first="Sofia" last="Proctor"] (Bothell HS) - Good length on the interior at 6’2. Proctor runs the floor well, protects the paint defensively and mixes it up in the post. Her development will definitely be worth tracking.
2024 6’1 C [player_tooltip player_id="362369" first="Maddy" last="Weaver"] (Puyallup HS) - A throwback post prospect that loves to mix it up and get physical inside the post. Weaver is strong, physical and has above average footwork to help her get of her shot off. Her step through is strong and a solid go to move. She will attract a good amount of college attention when it’s all said and done.
2025 6’0 C [player_tooltip player_id="398201" first="Alyssa" last="Neumann"] (Central Kitsap HS) - A new prospect on our radar that runs the floor, blocks shots and she is a good passer for her age as well. Stay tuned on Neumann’s development!
2022 6’3 C [player_tooltip player_id="232425" first="Alma" last="Rack"] (Nathan Hale HS) - The lone unsigned senior in attendance. Rack clogs the paint, has great length, runs the floor fairly well and can finish inside. She is also a high academic student and will eventually have to announce her plans for college at some level or another.
