State Semi-Finals Top Performers, Part 4

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="217360" first="Riley" last="Smith"]- G/F, 6’2, 2024, Archbishop Alter:  </strong>Wow.  Where do I begin. Shooters shoot. Beautiful form, quick release, she's automatic- excellent muscle memory! I"m impressed with how she moves without the ball, how she works to get open, and she has the courage to take big shots- and executes so very well!  Love her length- so hard to contain. She finished with 19 points, and 8 rebounds. (<em>Featured photo)</em> <strong>Maddie Moody- F, 6’1, 2025, Archbishop Alter:  </strong>(<em>Below on defense) </em>It is scary that Moody is only a freshman, because she plays like an upperclassman. She's strong, has a great inside/outside game, and her knowledge of the game, great feel for where she needs to be on both ends of the court. Scary where she will be a couple years from now! She finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds. <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-399584" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/03/IMG_8477.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> &nbsp; <strong>Emma Hansley- G, 5’8, 2022, Archbishop Alter: </strong> <em>(Below on defense) Nothing</em> pumps me up more as a coach, than to watch a player get after it on defense.  Defense is hard, its exhausting when executed correctly, and defense doesn't receive the glory compared to points.  But let me tell you, Emma played outstanding, hounding Bishop Hartley guards. She lead the team in steals with 5. She dominates the inside, and often times has 2-3 players hanging on her! Love her footwork- she has great hands, pretty moves on the block and in the lane, and her height is really like trying to guard someone that's 6'9, because her hands are always up, and yes, she's got a nice volleyball jump in those legs!  <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-399552" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/03/IMG_8576.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="312650" first="Alexis" last="Cashwell"]- G, 5’9, 2022, Bishop Hartley: </strong>(<em>Below in blue, fighting for ball) </em>Cashwell plays hard, doesn't matter the score, she will go hard on both ends of the court. She applies solid pressure on the ball, crashes the boards. She's very effective driving baseline and using the backboard for inside shots. McElrath can play this game, very very well.
