– 2022 – 5’9 SG – Denver
Johnson did a little bit of everything for her team in the win on Wednesday as she scored 12 points but also grabbed 16 rebounds. Eight of those rebounds were offensive rebounds as she was able to keep possessions alive at a high rate. She added in four steals and four assists in a game where she was all over the floor on both ends.
Sydney Eggena – 2022 – 5’10 F – Denver
Eggena was a huge reason that Denver was able to win as she scored 18 points in just 23 points. She was very efficient from the floor as she shot 7-of-12 from the field and was able to get herself in really good spots to score with ease. Knocked down the deep ball too. Showed solid effort on the defensive end too.

Cascade | 2022
State
IA
– 2022 – 5’7 G – Cascade
Hoffman left it all out on the floor in her final game as the guard scored 16 points and also had 11 rebounds in a great effort. She is a very shifty guard who has the ability to attack the rim or shoot it from the perimeter. Thought she did a really nice job of keeping her team in the game especially on the boards.
Desta Hoogendoorn – 2024 – 6’0 C – Central Lyon
Hoogendoorn hit the game winning shot to send Central Lyon to the semi-finals and she was very consistent all game long. She was 7-of-12 from the floor and scored 15 points. She also had four blocks and was able to assist on three shots. While she had a double-double with 11 rebounds to add to her point total, I thought that she was most impressive on the defensive end.
Macy Sievers

Newell-Fonda | 2022
State
IA
– 2022 – 5’7 G – Newell-Fonda
Sievers is such a problem on the floor as she does it all for Newell-Fonda. She has very quick hands allowing her to get steals but she also has great court vision allowing her to pass it to open teammates easily. Sievers scored 16 points and had six steals in their opening win. She was a very good 8-of-12 from the floor. Dordt commit.

MMRCU | 2022
State
IA
– 2022 – 5’11 G – MMCRU
Whenever MMCRU needed a bucket it felt like Dreckman was there to get it. I though that she did a really good job of taking advantage of the opportunities that she got on the floor. Her ability to get to the rim and score was on full display as she make 7-of-9 shots from inside the perimeter. A very solid offensive performance for her team. Kirkwood commit.

Bishop Garrigan | 2023
State
IA
– 2023 – 5’7 PG – Bishop Garrigan
joyce set the tone from the very beginning as she was able to get to the rim early and often. Joyce scored 25 points and dished off six assists to her teammates. I thought that the most impressive part of her game was how active she was on the defensive end of the floor. She had seven steals and was able to convert most of those into points at the other end.

Bishop Garrigan | 2023

Nation
IA
– 2023 – 6’3 C – Bishop Garrigan
Crooks was her usual dominant self on Wednesday as she put up 32 points in a night where she seemingly could not miss. She shot 15-for-18 from the floor and was easily able to get to her spot on the floor and score the ball. I thought that she did a really good job of positioning well and keeping the ball high. Most dominant player in the state regardless of class.

North Linn | 2024
State
IA
– 2024 – 5’6 PG – North Linn
Kurt was just simply not going to let her team go down in the first round. She was able to thread the defense all night en route to 17 points and was showing some very high basketball IQ. She knew where the shot blockers were on the floor at all times and did a good job or using her handling to avoid them. She also dished off four assists in a complete offensive game.
Lauren Wilson

Wilson

Springville | 2022
State
IA
– 2022 – 6’0 C – Springville
Wilson had a solid game against North Linn and was able to defend the paint really well. She had six blocks in the game as she anticipated the offensive player really well. I thought that Wilson did a really solid job on offense as well as it didn’t seem like she forced much. Wilson had 14 points and 11 rebounds to go with her six blocks and five assists. Concordia-St. Paul commit.
