Maxine Doering Maxine Doering 5'8" | SG Manhattan | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, SG, Manhattan, SSA Gameball Basketball – Doering had an impact season with the Indians after a strong summer in 2021. She played well in all a pair of games I saw her in at the Mid America Classic, hosted by McPherson, and played a roll in the Indian upset of Hutchinson in the 6A sub-state. She rocketed 28 spots to #14. I have been following her for close to two years and she has long shown the ability to use a crossover to set up a drive, use the glass well, hit her free throws, and can the mid-range jumper off the catch. She also stays on the floor well when challenging shots and works hard on both ends.

, 5’8″, CG, Shawnee Mission East, Missouri Phenom – It will be a tall order to continue to advance but Long advanced eight spots to #3. Recently offered by Harvard, Long followed up honorable mention honors with a second team Sunflower League selection in 2022. She has deep three point range, handles, perimeter shot creation ability, and elevates well on the shot. Long can jump shooting, maneuvers her body to alter her shot on the finish, has good half-court vision and IQ, and uses her length to disrupt defensively and take steals to end-to-end.

, 5’5″, CG, Shawnee Mission South, Della Lamb Red 2024 – Moore, a two-time Sunflower League honorable mention selection, also made a big move, climbing 23 spots to #22, after a good summer of 2021 and being a key ingredient for the Vikings this past season. I also saw her play well at the Mid America Classic in McPherson. She creates off the bounce and finishes with contact, is quick to the lane, and has a solid frame to absorb contact. Moore is also a three point threat.
Ashley Singhateh Ashley Singhateh 5'8" | PG Maize South | 2024 State KS , 5’7″, PG, Eureka, Arkansas Banshees/Southwest Elite 2023 – The two-time Tri-Valley League first team selection climbed 36 spots to #15 in the February release. I have been watching Singhateh ever since she was running with Western Kansas Elite a couple years ago. She has been a key ingredient for the Tornados for three years. Her ball skills, finishing ability, break leadership, and rebounding have been there for long time but what has caused me to be hesitant to rank her higher has been her perimeter shot. I had not seen enough of it to get a feel for her range, ability to create a perimeter shot, and her consistency. That has improved in the past year. How far she climbs will be determined by her defense and her prowess as a perimeter threat.

, 5’7″, PG, Seaman – The two-time Centennial League second teamer first caught my eye when, as a freshman, the Vikings traveled to Salina Central in 2021 for a class 5A first round game. It was easy to see why she was the starter at point guard. Super quick hands, fast, and solid scorer. She lead the show, period. Despite losing she played extremely well. Stallbaumer cracked the top ten in February, advancing five places to #9.
