The following players made a huge impact on their team and are very deserving of being on this list. Here are six players that stood out at the Battle in the Big Friendly for the 15U division. Check out the featured players for the 15U All-Tournament 2nd team.
Saniyah Morrison Saniyah Morrison 5'3" | PG Tulsa Rogers | 2025 OK | Point Guard | Rebel Elite 2025/Will Rogers | 2025
Saniyah had a really good weekend at the Battle in the Big Friendly. She’s a smooth playing point guard that can score the ball in a variety of ways and get her teammates involved. When she attacks the rim she attacks hard. You have to be a physical defender to slow her down. She uses her body to initiate contact to create space for the short pull-up or the finish at the rim. She has good patience and vision in the half-court. Saniyah looks for gaps in the defense and then attacks quickly looking to get into the lane to make plays for herself or a teammate. Defensively she locks up. Again using a physical presence and quick feet to make the offense uncomfortable.
Alexis Leyva Alexis Leyva 5'11" | CG Booker T Washington | 2026 State OK | Wing | Banshees 2026/Booker T Washington | 2026
Alexis had a very impressive weekend during the Battle in the Big Friendly. Each time I got the opportunity to see this Banshee team play Alexis did something that was impressive and made me like her game a little bit more. She stands around 5’9 with good length. She plays solid on-ball defense and is typically in the correct help position anticipating what the offense will do next. Her instincts on defense were very good. Offensively, she could push it in transition and make plays. She had really good vision and was a willing passer up the floor. In the half-court, she could attack off the catch and make the mid-range jumper.
Crystal Aragon | Point Guard | Pro Skills 2025 | 2025
I was quickly impressed with Crystal the moment I put my eyes on her. She plays with so much passion and fire that it’s contagious among her teammates. She is a quick, athletic guard that can handle the ball well. Crystal has a variety of change of direction moves to get by her defender attack the basket. She’s a high IQ point guard that understands tempo, momentum, good shots vs bad shots, and her decision-making was very impressive. Crystal had good vision and on-target passing which led to her teammates being successful. She pushed the ball well in transition and could finish over bigger defenders in the paint.
Ava McIntyre | Forward | Team Buddy Buckets 2025/Oklahoma Christian School | 2025
I got the chance to see Team Buddy Buckets 2025 play a couple of times and both times Ava caught my eye. The first thing I noticed is how hard she played on both ends of the floor. She was an aggressive rebounder but really went after several missed shots from her teammates for the easy putback. She was tough on the low block. Her physical play and toughness allowed her to get the position she wanted on the floor. I rarely saw Ava standing and watching when the ball wasn’t in her hands. She was moved well without the ball finding open areas on offense to be a threat. Defensively she played good defense making it tough for her opponent. She could also secure the defensive rebound and then lead the break.
Brooklyn Owens Brooklyn Owens 5'11" | SF HarBer | 2025 State AR | Shock 2025 Diaz/Rogers | 2025
Consistency is key to being an impact player. Players need to be consistent in their effort and their role every time they step on the court and that’s what I saw with Brooklyn. She’s a good athlete that gets out on the break and runs the floor hard. Whether she knows she going to get the ball or not she’s giving her best effort in transition. There were times when she finished herself after receiving a pass and there were other times by running hard she was in position to follow a miss with the offensive rebound and put back. Defensively she also had an impact. Using her length and athleticism to pressure the ball and play the passing lanes well.
Sydney Deem | BC Denver 2025/Broomfield | 2025
Standing around 6’1 or so, Sydney has some good size and length. Her length comes into play when she is defending the low post and it helps her when she is on the perimeter. She did a really impressive job on closeouts. She understood her length was a factor and would close out under control with high hands. This allowed her to be able to defend the drive if the offense put the ball on the floor. Sydney was also a good help defender. She got to her help spots early and communicated player movement, screens, and any other action she saw. Offensively, Sydney could attack in straight lines, handle the ball some, and finish around the rim.
