These are players who played well and caught my eye. Remember these names because some are on the verge of a breakout summer while others have potential but maybe a few skills away from seeing a big difference in their game.
Jonah Daily | Point Guard | Tulsa Hawks 2025/Pryor | 2025
Jonah showed she could shoot off the dribble with her shifty handle. She displayed good footwork and balance on her finishes and gave good effort on defense.
Callie Wilson Callie Wilson 5'4" | PG Sperry | 2025 State OK | Guard | Tulsa Hawks 2025/Sperry | 2025
Callie is going to play hard on both ends of the floor. Offensively she can attack off the bounce with either hand effectively. She is a stat filler, doing a little bit of everything for her team.
Jerriyah Baines Jerriyah Baines 5'10" | SF Killeen | 2025 State TX | Forward | Pro Skills San Antonio 2025 | 2025
Jerriyah showed a variety of skills over the weekend. She made some threes, scored around the basket, attacked off the catch and rebounded well. She also gets after it on defense and does a good job of containing the dribbler.
Kya Nelson | Post/Forward | Pro Skills San Antonio 2025 | 2025
Kya is a long athletic hybrid post player that moves well without the ball. She play on the interior with her back to the basket or she can make plays from the high post by attacking off the dribble or making the elbow jumper. She also provides good help defense with her shot-blocking.
Ezra Tobias | Combo Guard | Pro Skills San Antonio 2025 | 2025
Ezra is a quick point guard that is a blur in transition. Can finish through contact or with the floater over the defense. Her speed and quickness make you want to give her space but she’s a threat from long-range with her shooting ability. Her on-ball defense was some of the best over the weekend.
Symion Edwards | Forward | O.W.E. Family Renegades 2025/North Caddo | 2024
Symion is an athletic player that will attack the basket hard off the dribble. She has the footwork and balance to step around a defender to avoid picking up a charge and go in for the finish. Won’t back down from physical play.
Amari Hamer | Guard | Rebel Elite 2025/Broken Arrow | 2025
Amari was a solid role player for her Rebel Elite team. She made the spot-up three, handled the ball well against contact, and showed good vision and on-target passing. She also defended well, limiting the offense from penetrating the lane.
Lynzie Overstreet | Combo Guard | Rebel Elite 2025/Will Rogers | 2025
This was the second tournament I’ve seen Lynzie compete in and again she didn’t disappoint. A combo guard that can slide over to the point, Lynzie just makes plays while on the court. It doesn’t matter if it’s defensively or on offense, she’s smart, makes good plays, and makes shots.
Olivia Mortensen | Wing | BC Denver 2025/Legacy | 2025
Olivia is a smart on-ball defender that can pressure the ball handler without fouling. She did really well in transition. Olivia could push the pace and deliver good passes to teammates for the bucket or go in for the finish herself.
Tyuana Haumpy | Guard | Supreme Trotters 2025/Pleasant Grove | 2026
Tyuana brought a lot of energy to her team. She gave multiple efforts on defense with her on-ball pressure. Offensively she made the three-pointer, attack off the catch, got to the rim and was able to finish in a number of ways.
Ava Gascon | Combo Guard | Oklahoma Swift 2025/Bethel | 2026
Ava was one of the best shooters in the Battle in the Big Friendly. Defenses always have to account for Ava because she could make the three-ball with ease. In one game she made 4 three-pointers.
Kailee Seaba | Wing | Banshees 2026/Grove | 2026
Kailee piqued my interest because she’s a wing player that can slide over to the point and run the team. Being versatile is valuable in the game today. She could secure the defensive rebound and start the break with her dribble and finish herself through contact.
Ady Hybl | Combo Guard | H&H Elite 2025 | 2026
Ady was a guard that had a good handle and attacked the rim off the dribble. She could finish at the rim and was a threat from the three-point line. Defensively she was solid with her ball pressure.
Kaylee Ward | Post | Shock 2025 Diaz/Mansfield | 2026
Kaylee stands nearly 6’3 with long arms. She uses her length well on defense for steals and deflections. She gets to her help spots and stays alert to what’s going on around her, she doesn’t just ball-watch on defense. Offensively she scores around the basket and handles the ball.
Hannah Bond | Post | Banshees 2026/Locus Grove | 2026
Hannah has several offensive skills on display over the weekend. She could hit the elbow jumper, shoot the three, play inside and out, and was a good passer. Defensively she was a great help defender, communicating actions and cuts to her teammates.
