No. 63: Gianna D’Avanzo Gianna D’Avanzo SG Secaucus | 2024 NJ – SG, Secaucus
We’ve already discussed D’Avanzo in a previous article this month, but since she’s new to the list, it’s important to get more coverage on her. The sophomore was essentially nowhere to be seen as a freshman, but all of that turned around this season. Where she’s excelled the most is her three-point shooting, having knocked down 31 threes, more than 1.1 a game, which was more than 40 percent of her overall offense. Those numbers look to be exceeded as a junior without a doubt.
No. 57: Kayla Ishigami Kayla Ishigami PG Caldwell | 2024 NJ – PG, Caldwell
Like D’Avanzo, Ishigami experienced her own rapid jump in production as a sophomore, averaging 9.1 PPG for Caldwell. Along with that, her three-point production significantly increased as she knocked down one a game over the course of the year. Ishigami turned into a vital piece of Caldwell’s offense and provided much-needed help along the perimeter. She’s a confident player who had to mature quickly in her role this season. She took the challenge and emerged as playmaker for this team moving forward.
No. 68: Simone Pintinalli Simone Pintinalli 5'5" | PG Notre Dame | 2024 State NJ – 5-4 SG, Notre Dame
Pintinalli is one of the more exclusive perimeter shooters on the list, with roughly 75 percent of her offense coming from beyond the arc as a sophomore. While her scoring average wasn’t necessarily high, she knocked down 1.8 three-pointers a game in her first full season on varsity. Going from a player who hit just six in five games last year to hitting 42 in 24 games, that jump is incredibly promising for the future. Look for Pintinalli to work on her agility and shooting motion this offseason.
No. 62: Kristina Turner Kristina Turner SG Burlington Township | 2024 State NJ – SG, Burlington Township
Turner barely eclipsed double-figures in the scoring column this season, averaging just over 10.0 PPG for Burlington Township. Additionally, she sunk 1.5 three-pointers a game this season, delivering steady production as a scorer. We like her dispersion across the map when it comes to scoring because she’s not overly reliant on the three, showing the ability to generate opportunities in more close-range and mid-range situations. Knowing that Turner doesn’t have to settle for a shot makes her that much more dangerous as a player.
No. 66: Isabella Winn Isabella Winn 5'7" | SF Ridgewood | 2024 NJ – 5-7 SF, Ridgewood
Winn provides stability and the ability to fill up the stat sheet on any given night. She’s a triple-threat between scoring, passing and rebounding. If you include her perimeter defense into the mix, you’re looking at one of the most underrated multi-faceted players in the 2024 class. Her last game of the season is a great indication of the kind of player she can be, posting 17 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and four steals against East Orange. Those are All-Conference numbers without a doubt.
