I can say this, UAA does it right for the girls side for sure. Competition was great, squads got better against competition, let’s just say there was some premium talent for sure in the building.
Most importantly, our state was represented no doubt, down there in Bama. The ladies from FBC Reign and B.Maze went down and handled business. Going undefeated and just kicking butt and taking names, these young ladies came out and showed the college coaches what Tennessee hoops is all about. Everyone, East Tennessee basketball is alive and well. People better take notice because these squads have talent across the board. Here are some young ladies who stood out in Hoover and repped the state of Tennessee.
Meeyah Green (5’8/PG/8th Grade/Webb-Knx./B.Maze Elite)– Super talented floor general who has such a high ceiling. She was in full effect this past weekend, leading the B. Maze Elite attack. From scoring buckets to dropping dimes, her offensive game was flawless. Meeyah is a two-way player who is a high level competitor. Old school junkyard dog who is fierce on the court. Squad went 5-0 this past weekend. Look for this multi-level scoring threat to receive plenty of interest from D1 schools moving forward. Get this, she is only an 8th grader and already doing work!
Kimora Fields (6’0/PF/8th Grade/HS?/B.Maze Elite)– High School? Yet to be determined. This talented 8th grader is playing on an MVP level. Repping the orange and black, Kimora is a big who can get it down in the paint as well as step outside if need to. Runs the floor well, contributes on the boards, has great court awareness. Look for this young lady to keep getting better as she contributes and plays against high-level competition. Another super talented kid with a high ceiling.

Nya Burns (5’6/G/Fr./Lakeway Christian Academy/ FBC Reign)– She’s on the way to something great. Fierce floor general who just flat out gets it done. Can score it, handle it, dish it, you name it. Shifty guard who can switch speeds. Apart of a talented FBC Reign squad, Nya contributes in multiple ways. Depending on the time and possession, her basketball IQ is off the charts, making the right play at the right time. Hustler who is determined to win one play at a time. Had a great weekend and will most definitely string more impressive weekends moving forward.
Sydney Mains Sydney Mains 5'11" | SF Knoxville Catholic | 2024 State TN (5’11/CG/So./Knoxville Catholic/ FBC Reign)– Continues to impress every time she steps on the court.
