Brooklyn Hurtado (Texas Platinum 2024 Bruce)
Hurtado has the “nice hands and footwork” combo down pat, and when you factor in that she not only finishes strongly with either hand, she does it after contact, with both hands. Solid rebounder, runs the floor and did a good job defending both inside and outside the paint
Ella Martin (Team Griffin Elite 2024 Owens)
Martin showed her versatility in the 5 minutes I caught her yet it only takes me a couple and after observing her pull-up jumper, coupled with her size just had me smiling because her release is smooth and fluid and she does a good job creating her shot, under pressure yet she also can attack from various angles
Tiara Louis (Arnold Elite)
Louis caught my eye early at an event I was covering last season so I sort of knew what to expect, I wanted to see if there was anything new and yes there was. She’s a long and athletic guard that can drop her shot from basically wherever she wants, that’s huge but she also uses her deceptive first step to get to the rim and finish but the sophomore’s upside is what really grabs me
Maccie Bain (GOC 2026 Black)
Bain gave me a glimpse of what was coming when I traveled to one of her club team practices a few months ago and yes, she knows how to use her body around the basket to score, I already knew that yet she is dropping jumpers with ease, I’m talking mid to long-range and when I watch her shoot the ball with confidence like she’s doing, that just makes me smile, well so does her rebounding and throwing the outlet or better yet, igniting the break with an outlet and running the floor to receive the ball back and finish
T’Heiress Davis (GOC 2026 Black)
Davis was at that some practice, okay I had seen her a year earlier at an Individual Showcase so let me start there. I look at mannerisms, how players react, and what they do instinctively at young ages because that tells me what’s coming. It’s a proven method for me and I haven’t been wrong yet and yeah I knew she could score, off the dribble or using the jumper, that’s fine but peep this, when you can control a game in other ways without scoring, that’ pretty big as she made those around her better. Okay she still scored, the pull-up, off the dribble, even gave me a road trip present by playing the passing lane and going coast to coast
