And while it was lightly attended, primarily because numerous programs have not set their squads yet, there was some quality play to watch. Teams from three states gathered at Andover’s Farha YMCA courts to get some action. Enjoy this look at 2025s who stood out.
Alisabeth Barton, 5’5″, CG, Colby, Magic 2025 – Barton has the quickness to get a step and the ability to just as quickly pull-up for the short jumper. Unafraid of contact.
Marayah Coleman Marayah Coleman 6'2" | SF Goddard | 2025 State KS , 6’2″, SF/CG, Goddard, Kansas United 2024 – Coleman runs well, is athletic, and is a threat to score at all three levels. Would like to see her gather herself better and show more hops and authority on catches/rebounds to finish. More experienced bigs and guards caused her trouble with their savvy. A growing game on both ends with high upside.
Tayten Dewey, 5’9″, PF, Rawlins County, Magic 2025 – Dewey elevated well on rebounds and finishes and is a good free throw shooter. Like her length.
Ashlen Garrett, 5’3″, PG, Skyline (MO), Southwest Shooters – Garrett showed good handles off the bounce and the ability to pull up quickly in the lane. Needs to improve decision making versus pressure though. Ever three point make I saw was all net and she showed a quick release off the step and catch every time.
Lily Gray, 6’5″, C, Sterling, KS Dream Team – Really looked forward to seeing Gray compete against the quality bigs in attendance. She held her own playing solid position defense, moving well without the ball, putting together a couple of moves to finish, and transitioning well. With her great size and build her ceiling is high.
Aliyah Green Aliyah Green 6'0" | PF Andover | 2025 State KS , 6’0″, PF, Hutchinson, Kansas United 2024 – All the physical tools are there. Fast, athletic, quick, handles to help bring the ball up the court and attack the basket from the wing, hops, quick on help side defense, and on and on. More experienced and savvy players got the best of her offensively when given time to create their play and/or shot. A high ceiling with the potential to be a top 5 player in her class.
Halle Jones, 5’7″, CG, Holcomb, Magic 2025 – With her feet set Jones is a consistent three point threat. She is also very active without the ball. A physical player, she has a knack for slipping behind defenders.
Amaria Music, 5’8″, CG, Below The Rim (BTR) 17U – I really liked Music’s build as well as her combination of athleticism, speed, and hustle.
Valerie Norwood Valerie Norwood 5'7" | CG Wellington | 2025 State KS , 5’8″, SG, Wellington, Kansas United 2024 – Norwood elevates well off the bounce and showed strong defensive perimeter quicks to prevent drives.
Zarianna Walker Zarianna Walker 5'11" | SF Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS , 5’11″, CG/SF, Wichita Heights, Kansas United 2024 – The speedy, athletic Walker has good size and length. She showed handles in transition and on the finish and an ability to create opportunities in the half court.
