Emanating from the new IMG Academy basketball facilities in Bradenton, Florida, the campus hosted two days of an exciting basketball event that welcomed teams, mostly from the Sunshine State, in addition to a few from neighboring Georgia as well.
Prep Girls Hoops unveiled its 17U All-Tournament First and Second Teams as well as Honorable Mentions. The 16U teams were in full effect as well and here are our selections for its First Team.
Riley Talbert Riley Talbert 5'9" | SG Bishop Kenny HS | 2024 State FL – 2024 – Bishop Kenny HS – First Coast Basketball Academy 2024 – Talbert is one of the seven Crusaders represented on the First Coast Basketball Academy 2024 squad. She is a versatile 5-foot-9 guard who can also play productive minutes at the wing position. Adding to her versatility is her reliability as a rebounder as well as a proficient distributor of the ball. Steals, the ability to drain shots from deep or midrange plus rim-attacking capabilities are also central characteristics of Talbert’s superbly developed game. She is a transfer from Fernandina Beach HS and previously was on the grassroots circuit with Clark Basketball Academy Select 2024 Red.
Kelly Cramer – 2024 – St. Joseph’s Academy – First Coast Basketball Academy 2024 – Cramer is one of three players for First Coast Basketball Academy 2024 that is listed at 5-foot-10, giving her a height advantage in many a matchup. In at least one of the contests she played in at IMG Academy, Cramer managed to keep herself out of foul trouble while tallying 12 points in a victory. She is an efficient scorer whose offensive attack includes drawing contact and getting herself to the free throw line. Cramer puts herself in position to corral rebounds, can get from one end of the floor to the other with the ball in her hand and plays with a great deal of confidence.
Koiyah Long – 2024 – Pine Forest HS – Team Passion 2024 – Long not only is the last name of this talented 5-foot-4 sophomore, it also describes the list of things she excels at on any basketball court. As efficient as she is with running the floor, her skillset comes in useful in transition. Long attacks the basket aggressively and with no fear. She is listed at 5-foot-2 and plays the game with a great deal of energy. Long brings the same multi-talented skillset to Team Passion 2024 that she brought to a Pine Forest team that made a deep playoff run to the 5A state semifinals in 2021-22.
Makayla Stokes – 2024 – Timber Creek HS – Team Knight 2024 – Stokes is an all-around athlete that has competed in a number of disciplines – including volleyball, flag football and track and field in addition to basketball. How well she runs enables her to get out in transition and her being a heads-up player makes her a defensive stalwart. Stokes puts points on the board, does work on the glass and is a vocal leader for her team. She combines the speed and agility of a guard with the height of forward or a center. Stokes is not afraid of contact which can send her to the line, can sink her shots from midrange and does not give up on a play.
Kamie Ellis – 2026 – Port Charlotte MS – Florida Lady Aces 2024 – Ellis is sure to be one of many names high school basketball fans across Florida will want to have on their radars the next several seasons. She is a key player in any backcourt and stood out among the many 2026 players that were present this past weekend at IMG Academy. Ellis is not afraid to draw contact and find her way to the free throw line and also proved to get a bit creative with how she will complete plays near the rim. Ellis was previously listed as being part of the Charlotte County Miracle 2023 team before running in the club realm with Florida Lady Aces 2024.
