There will college coaches from all levels in attendance and on the livestream. looking for future players at their program. Michigan has some under the radar players that I think are definitely worth a look.
Sophia Cowing (PG, MSF Flight 2025, Leslie)
Cowing sees the floor very well for a young player. She can thread the needle with the pass and it doesn’t take her long to get the ball where it needs to go.
Jamya Fritz (2024, CG, Michigan Lady Playmakers 17u, Southfield A & T)
Fritz is in many ways a versatile player. She can play on or off the ball effectively on the offensive end. Fritz is a terrific 2 way player that will lock down an opponent with her perimeter defense.
Leilah Howard (2025, PF, Michigan Lady Playmakers 16u, Salem)
Howard has a lot of tools that help make a high quality basketball player. She’s just a shade under 6-0 and can probably play 3-4 positions effectively. Howard can score from multiple levels which creates a challenge for opposing defenses.
Julie Mach (2023, SG, MSF Flight 2023, Jonesville)
Mach is a shooter at heart. She has definite 3 point range and can bury it off the catch even with a hand in her face. If Mach catches fire at The Exclusive, it could be a game changer.
Maeve Nolan (2024, PG, Michigan Goonies 2024, Berkley)
Nolan is a lockdown defender, plus some. She has an eye for the ball on defense and creates turnovers without swiping down at the ball and getting in foul trouble. Nolan is a solid ball handler and dependable as a primary ball handler.
Abby Pasinos Abby Pasinos SG Madison Heights Bishop Foley | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Michigan Goonies 2023, Bishop Foley)
I’ll count Pasinos as under the radar just because I think that she probably deserves more chatter as a high level guard. She gets it done on both ends of the floor and shows great defensive footwork. Pasinos is a definite threat to shoot from behind the arc.
Kursten von Hoffman (2023, SG, Downriver Elite 2023, Taylor)
I’ve written about her before and really like her game. Let’s start with her defense. She has an eye for the ball and stalks the passing lanes, stepping in and picking off almost any pass that comes off soft. On offense, she’s a shooter at heart and extremely comfortable firing away from the corners.
