Victory Region Preview – Team Evolution United

Team Evolution United joins the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit this Spring in their Third year of competition out of Northeast Ohio.

The organization has been around for several years with the boy’s side located in Florida until Coach Adam Johnson started a Girls team in 2020 around the Cleveland area. Coach Johnson says the Program is built around the thought that “positive energy is contagious. We’re a family on and off the court, when one is down, we need to pick them up. We focus on Energy, Effort, and Efficiency.”

Team Evolution United currently has two teams, one in the 17U Division and one in the 16U Division. Three players who Coach Johnson says should be on everyone’s radar are:

2023 Uriah Jennings Uriah Jennings 5'8" | CG Mayfield Heights | 2023 State OH is a 5’7” Combo Guard with good length and skill to play on or off-ball and score from every level.

2023 Aleeona Robinson Aleeona Robinson 5'5" | PG Lutheran East | 2023 OH is a 5’5” Guard with a high IQ who can create her own shot off the dribble and score in the lane with her strength and physicality.

2023 Neveah Cable Neveah Cable 5'8" | CG Toledo Notre Dame | 2023 State OH is a smooth Combo Guard with a quick first step to attack the lane and can knock down shots from the perimeter.

In addition, Coach Johnson mentioned two players who are flying under the radar right now and are poised for a breakout season on the Circuit:

2023 Alexandria Duncan is a two-way Point Guard who has a great feel for the game with her decision making and lockdown defense.

2023 Hazel Seyou is a quick Point Guard who is hard to stay in front of and constantly brings the energy. Coach Johnson refers to her as “A staple of the AAU Program.”

2024 Gabby Moore is a 5’6” Combo Guard who is an outstanding shooter from deep and can put the ball on the floor and pull up quickly to hit shots.

2024 Navroop Buttar Navroop Buttar 5'8" | SF Mayfield Heights | 2024 OH is a 5’8” Small Forward who can score in the paint and stretch the floor with her shooting.

2024 Devin Harris Devin Harris 5'10" | SF Akron Hoban | 2024 OH is a 5’10” Shooting Guard who can knock down shots from the mid-range and beyond the three-point line. Very versatile player.

2025 DeMarionna Branch is a long and athletic Guard who can attack off the dribble and score from all levels.

Coach Johnson and Coach Jerimie Acree, who coaches the 17U Team, like to stress that “this organization is not about the coaches, its about the players and the ability they have to claim the opportunities out there for them.”

When asked why Coach Johnson wanted his program to play on the PGH Circuit, he said, “Prep Hoops on the boys side was very popular in Florida, so when I started the girls program I wanted everything to do with Prep Girls Hoops. This is a great opportunity for the girls who are wanting to get looked at. Smaller school players can get looked at here and Division One coaches who subscribe also have full access to Prep Girls Hoops.”
