2023 Rankings, Zbynski Gems

As we get through 2022.  We are posting the rankings for all the classes.  Here are some the gems off the 2023 Rankings. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="247119" first="Karyzma" last="Pierre"]</strong> 5’11" SF Oakridge/FGB (PGH 66) Pierre, a long forward that plays like a guard.  She plays very smooth and under control.  Not much wasted movement.  She can stop on a dime and spot up for the mid-range jumper or step out to hit the 3 ball. Pierre is a really good transition player that sees the floor well, making the on target pass to her teammates. <strong>Alex Mercon</strong> 5’9" SG Bishop Moore/ECU (PGH 88) A tough player that gets after it.  Strong to take to the basket, finishing with either hand, through the contact.  Another player on the rankings that has a high confidence level to hit the outside jump shot.  Very aggressive on the defensive end of the court.  She has active hands that bothers the opposing team. [caption id="attachment_427949" align="alignleft" width="225"]<img class="size-medium wp-image-427949" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/05/Diaz-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /> Photo: Celine Vega, Celine Vega[/caption] <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="247124" first="Vanessa" last="Diaz"]</strong> 5’5’ SG Gateway/Bluestar ORL (PGH 113) Diaz is the vocal leader for her team, shouting positive motivational, supportive comments, to get her teams going.  She was awarded the Osceola County player of the year for the 21/22 season.  She has the ability to put the ball in the basket, she averaged 17 points per game and grabbed 4.3 rebounds per game.  For her career at Gateway she is dumping in 20 points and recently surpassed the 1500 career point mark as a junior. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="247243" first="Janay" last="Demmitt"]</strong> 5’5" PG Lake Howell/TNBA (PGH 132) Demmitt, is a super quick Point guard that gets going fast.  She uses euro-steps and hesitation moves to get to the cup for the And 1.  She plays on a loaded 2023 TNBA team, that is looking to make some noise this summer on the AAU circuit.  She will be one of 4 seniors for the 22/23 Silverhawks for the upcoming High School season. [caption id="attachment_427319" align="alignleft" width="197"]<img class="size-medium wp-image-427319" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/05/Markowcolonial2023-197x300.jpg" alt="" width="197" height="300" /> Photo: Anthony Cheaves, Goodshotant[/caption] <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="247125" first="Brielle" last="Marlow"]</strong> 5’11" PF Colonial/Bluestar ORl (PGH 212) Marlow is tough gritty player that hustles, plays with energy.  She is consistent in hitting the mid-range jump shot and outside 3 ball.  When she catches the ball in the low post, she makes the most of her opportunities, using her drop step and up and under moves to finish at the basket.  Another vocal leader that motivates her teammates to be the best they can be.
