<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Class of 2023 Rankings: </strong>Newcomers Part Three</p>

<em>We released an updated ranking for the class of 2023 this week. Let's take a look at part three of the class of 2023 Newcomers! </em>

<strong> </strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="400805" first="Carmen" last="Jones"]</strong> (Ponce De Leon) 5'11 Guard
<strong>Overall Rank: </strong>146
Jones was huge part of Ponce De Leon success this season leading them to a state championship over Wildwood. The 5'11 Wing/Forward was the teams 2<sup>nd</sup> leading scorer at 9.5 points to go along with 5.6 rebounds per game. Stepping up when her team needed her the most, Jones scored 14 points in the State Semi Finals vs Madison County and then dropped 14 on 5/13 shooting in the championship game, helping lead Ponce De Leon to the 39-38 win and a FHSAA 1A State Championship.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="409179" first="Annie" last="Frost"]</strong> (Windermere HS / Hoop Dreams Elite) 6'0 Forward/Center
<strong>Overall Rank: </strong>166
Frost made the best of a tough season for Windermere HS. She is a 6'0 Forward / Center who can go inside and out. She plays hard and aggressive and is persistent on both the offensive and defensive glass. She finishes well in the paint and has range to 15 feet.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="400801" first="Elise" last="Flannery"]</strong> (Neumann) 5'9 Wing
<strong>Overall Rank: </strong>178
Flannery was Neumann's third leading scorer this season at 7.2 points per game. She is a 3-year varsity player that got into double digits eight times, including a season high vs Sarasota Christian with 18 points in February. She is a skilled, big wing is capable of shooting a high percentage from the field and rebounds the ball well from the perimeter.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="400796" first="Brooke" last="Allen"]</strong> (Bishop Moore) 6'0 Forward
<strong>Overall Rank: </strong>179
Allen was solid and consistent all season for Bishop Moore averaging 5.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Allen did most of her damage in the paint, being a persistent rebounder on both ends of the floor, running the floor in transition, and finishing off dump passes from the penetrating guards and on offensive rebounds.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="404168" first="Samaire" last="Slusarek"]</strong> (Riverview Sarasota / Always 100 Elite) 5'11 Wing/Forward
<strong>Overall Rank: </strong>182
Riverview finished the regular season undefeated and with an overall record of 20-2, losing to eventual state champion Dr. Phillips. Slusarek led the team in scoring with 12.9 points per game. The 5'11 Wing/Forward played multiple positions throughout the season and was extremely consistent on the offensive end. She reached double digits in 16 of 20 games and shot an impressive 42% from 3, including knocking down a season high 5/8 vs Braden River in December.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="401753" first="Adriana" last="Iorfida"]</strong> (Charlotte) 5'9 Guard
<strong>Overall Rank: </strong>193
Iorfida was Charlotte's 3<sup>rd</sup> scoring option behind <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91644" first="D'Yanis" last="Jimenez"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151272" first="Aryana" last="Hicks"]</strong> all season. The 5'9 Junior guard is a skilled offensive perimeter player who really turned it on in the back end of the season in January and February. Launching 116 3-pointers on the season, Iorfida connected on 37 of them, good enough for 32% from 3 to go along with shooting 50% from 2.

<strong>Overall Rank: </strong>202
Tyler impressively averaged 15.3 points and 13.1 rebounds per game for DeSoto County. She went for a double-double in 21/23 games this season helping DeSoto County to a 12-11 record. Tyler does a good job scoring from both the inside and the perimeter, showcasing solid outside shooting, good finishing ability in the paint, and handle to attack off the dribble.

This is the first update of the 2023 rankings in 2022. We have taken a look at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at <a href="mailto:WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com">WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com</a> and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games.

<strong>About Our Rankings</strong>
Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
