. She burst onto the scene her freshman season as one of the top scoring 2025s in Georgia, netting 16.6 points per game. Cornelia is a very good athlete, fluid in her movements and able to shift gears seamlessly. When she gets in transition, rarely will she be stopped with her speed. Ellington does more than just out-athlete opponents however. She is a solid shooter that will pull-up from the mid-range or let it fly from deep. She finished with 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in win over the D. Shine Lady Grinders. With three more seasons of development, Ellington has a chance to blossom into a really nice prospect.

– North GA Magic – Dawson County
The North Georgia Magic put a cap on their undefeated weekend with a dominant performance, a 59-21 win that saw the team from north metro Atlanta race out to a 24-0 lead. Three balls were flying as nine triples were hit.

paced the Magic with four of them including three in a row. When Samples-Slaton is able to get her feet set and get clean looks at the basket, her high arcing shot is very rarely off target. She scored 14 points to pace the Magic. With a great outside shot in her arsenal, look for Abby to continue to get better off the dribble to really make herself a well-rounded offensive weapon.

All good teams need somewhat of an enforcer on the interior.

brings physicality and size to the table. She has good hands, collecting rebounds and catching passes on the run which she can convert on the move. Adeline finishes with both hands and has a left-handed hook shot in the paint. Rosebush is a serious double-double threat at the high school level and a valuable piece to have on the low block.

this week. Her role isn’t to light up the scoreboard per se, but she does so many little things well and she can put points on the board when needed. In her first game, I was impressed with her nose for the ball, sneaking in to steal away offensive rebounds as one of the smallest players on the floor. On Sunday, Whitecliffe stuffed the stat sheet again, grabbing boards, dishing assists and forcing turnovers. In the final game of the weekend, Whitecliffe found her offense. Alex came off a dribble handoff and got downhill immediately, finishing with a pretty scoop layup going off her right foot, a skillful move. Later in the game, she showed off her range, draining a three. All in all, Whitecliffe tallied 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Expect Alex to start working her way into a deep Cherokee rotation.

looked to pour in points on Sunday and she did with ease. She went off in the first half vs. Queen Elite, matching their point total with 18 of her own coming off four threes, a putback, a floater and a pair of free throws. Mack is a talented ball handler that does a good job creating space on the perimeter. She likes to shoot off the dribble and is a three-level scoring threat.

From the opening tip, Grane was in attack mode. She’s no stranger to hunting her offense. She loves to attack the rim, getting downhill and scoring with her floater. Alaya uses a euro step to avoid charges and has the strength to absorb contact and keep her balance when driving. The one thing that Grane definitely has experience in is shouldering a heavy workload. She has no problem being asked to do a lot and often times delivers.
