Avery Whitaker (5’11/PF/2025)
AAU Team: Dayton Metro 2025 Thomas

Avery is a player with a high motor and gets after it on every possession. She is a highly skilled player that impacted the game in many areas. She defended, rebounded, scored, and facilitated. She often was at the head of the break and making good decisions with the ball in her hands. What really stood out with Avery was her aggressiveness off the bounce, as she got downhill with purpose.
She was extremely difficult to contain off the bounce and was a major contributor for her squad the entire weekend.
She gave ultimate effort, was active on both ends, and brought a lot of energy to the court. She impacted winning by merely asserting herself and playing with a higher intensity level than her opponents.
Cameryn Ridderikhoff (5’9/SG/2025)
AAU Team: Richmond Heat 2025

Cameryn was a pleasant surprise as she showed that she could get it done at all levels. She is a player who can create her own shot and create for others. She has a good understanding of the game and allows the game to come to her. I was really impressed with how poise she played and kept a level head even in crunch time moments. In a match-up against Team Elite FIE and her team down one with less than 5 seconds left, her number was called to take the game-winner. As time winded down, she was fouled, taking a three at the buzzer.
After missing the first FT, she made the final two giving her squad the W.
Not only did Cam bust their bubble, but all weekend long, she took the life out of defenses as she went on scoring streaks that caused defenses to realize it was nothing they could do to slow her down. She is not a player you can give much space to, especially from behind the arc, because she was one of the best C&S scorers the entire weekend. I will be watching her development over the next couple of years.
Khloe Bradley (5’11/Forward/2026)
AAU Team: FBC Thunder 2026

Khloe is a bright young developing player. Right now, her game is primarily in the paint, and she has a developing post-game that was on display throughout the weekend. One thing that separated KB from others that played the post was her quick move to get the ball up on the glass off the paint touch.
We talk about a quick release for perimeter players, but KB showed a quick release from her catches on the low block.
She has good length but has a slim frame; while her length was an asset on the boards and when contesting shots, her frame was a liability on defense as bigger, more stout post players often sealed her with ease. As she continues her maturation process in the game, I encourage her to continue developing her post skills but also continue working on expanding her play outside of the paint.
Marley Spiers (6’3/C/2027)
AAU Team: Tennessee Sol 2025

It wasn’t until I sat down to start this article that I realized that Marley is a 2027 kid playing on the 2025 stage. When I first laid eyes on Marley, she started off slow, but once she found her rhythm, she was one of the best post players on the 2025 stage. You can tell that she has spent hours in the lab as she showed really good footwork on the low block, the ability to score around the rim with touch, and moves around the paint well. She has to continue working on catching high and keeping high while making her moves, as she often got tied up when she brought the ball low, making herself small. Right now, she is with a team that allows her the luxury of playing to her strengths without putting pressure on her jumper.
She is an emerging prospect to keep an eye on.
Maliyah Gilbert (5’8/SG/2027)
AAU Team: Grind To Shine (GTS) Basketball 2026

Maliyah is a 2027 kid playing on the 2026 platform. She is raw in a lot of areas but is very athletic. She thrived in transition as she was able to lean on her athleticism in the open court. Things were similar as she looked to attack the rim off the bounce in the half-court setting. She is a hybrid-type player who can get it done off the bounce from the perimeter and in the paint by being faster and stronger than her defender.
She had some electric moments and will be a player to keep an eye on as she continues the development of her overall game.
