[player_tooltip player_id="406270" first="Bailey" last="White Hat"] - 5’11 PF 2023 - Todd County - Bailey is a great addition to the rankings, as an All-State player that scored nearly 19 points per game. Runs and moves well for a near six-foot athlete. Roams the painted area quite frequently and is eager to fight for offensive rebounds once the ball goes up. She earns a lot of her points by her constant motor, energy, and effort. She can play the "chaser" in her team’s full-court pressure.
[player_tooltip player_id="406379" first="Maurina" last="Street"] - 5’10 F 2023 - Milbank - Maurina is a relentless inside presence for Milbank, that can also play away from the hoop. If she misses inside, has a knack for coming down with the offensive rebound to put it back up for two. Plays much bigger than her listed 5’10 height. Moves very well laterally, and can pick up a ball-handler at half-court and stay in front. Great movement in general for her size. Can drive from the perimeter with a quick first-step, blowing by the defense.
[player_tooltip player_id="404663" first="Ava" last="Pearson"] - 6’0 C 2023 - Tri-Valley - Ava has good size and length. Looks every bit of six-foot. A rim-protector that can extend her defense on the perimeter -- using her length well. Works hard to find a body offensively to seal and post on. A prospect that needs to be on college programs radars, with her size, length, and ability to run the floor. I can easily envision Ava rising up the rankings board. She’s ranked conservatively at the moment at #40.
[player_tooltip player_id="403106" first="Macey" last="Wathen"] - 5’9 G 2023 - Rapid City Stevens - Macey is a starting 2-guard for AA Rapid City Stevens. That in itself, makes her a solid addition to the rankings list. A sound and solid offensive player with good height. Good speed and movement on the court. Her on-ball defense is ferocious and she can swarm a ball-handler with her lateral ability. Macey is a vital piece to what Rapid City Stevens wants to do. She should take on a significant role next season, with her statistical numbers taking a huge jump.
[player_tooltip player_id="416955" first="Brittney" last="Frickson"] - 5’4 G 2023 - North Central - Brittney is probably an unknown to many, but she possesses great overall quickness on the court. She also seems very well conditioned, as she doesn’t tire and remains at high speeds for a long duration of time. Moves well without the ball and wisely picks her spots to attack and become a scorer. Does a good job of swinging the ball from side to side. Has some offensive ability as a stand-still shooter and can also shoot pull-up jumpers.
[player_tooltip player_id="427103" first="Gracey" last="Sheridan"] - 5’6 G 2023 - Brookings - Gracey comes off the bench for AA Brookings. More of a contributor for Brookings as an overall team defender that plays her defensive role well.
[player_tooltip player_id="391074" first="Anna" last="Reiffenberger"] - 5’8 G 2023 - Parker - Anna is a starting 2-guard for Parker. She’s a solid guard that won’t hurt your team. Passes the ball around cleanly and can be an asset in beating a press. Puts out on-target passes to her teammates. A patient offensive player that plays with a good understanding of the game.
[player_tooltip player_id="416959" first="Ella" last="Haven"] - 5’9 G/F 2023 - Northwestern - Ella is a prospect with good length and athleticism/agility. Runs the court full-speed and can catch up in a hurry. She has the ability to handle the ball in the open court at 5’9. In the game I saw against Waubay/Summit, she handled the point guard spot as the main ball-handler. A good off-ball and on-ball defender that can quickly step over and help on the drive towards her gap. Great lateral quickness.
