Smithberg is a quality player for Divide County, a young team who won 15 games on the year. They only graduate 2 seniors, which makes the Maroons a very interesting team to watch next season. Paige does a lot of little things well for her team. She is aggressive to the basket and really good in transition. She runs hard and keeps space and knows when to pass and when to shoot. She is really good on 2-on-1 breaks. She finds cutting teammates and is also a sneaky cutter herself. She is a scrappy defender who excels in full-court pressure.

Evalyn was one of the bright spots on a Velva team that struggled to find themselves in the win column in 2025-2026. Velva only graduates two seniors, so they have a ton of returners with varsity experience heading into next season. Evalyn does a little bit of everything for the Aggies. She handles the ball, sets screens, attacks the basket, and rebounds well for a guard. She is a good height for a ND guard and is a strong athlete with good jumping ability. She was an All-District selection this season and had a good year. She finished the year averaging 14.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3.2 steals per game.

Naastad is a quality guard for Hatton-Northwood and a critical returning player going into next season. The Thunder maintain high expectations for 2026-2027, and Natalie is up for the challenge. She is an excellent defender and lengthy guard who makes things difficult for opponents. I appreciate the effort and enthusiasm she plays with. She pursues rebounds and isn't afraid to handle the ball if needed. Natalie is a good outside shooter and has nice rotation on her shot. I think her squad gets over the hump next season and gets to the state tournament.

Mya is a good floor general and keeps getting better each year. She is a very quick player and one of the fastest players in the WDA. She handles the ball well and finished the season with a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. She has good shooting mechanics but will need to continue working on her consistency if she is going to reach her potential. She finished the season averaging 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.

Rylee came roaring onto the varsity scene this season with some exceptional gameplay. She has a few things to clean up on the offensive end, but her defense is already exceptional. If she continues to improve her shooting, she will definitely have an opportunity to play at the next level. She is a very good passer and finished the season with 165 assists, an average of 6.9, and a 1.46 assist-to-turnover ratio. She is a good rebounder for a guard and averaged 6.2 rebounds per game last season. In addition, she averaged 5.3 deflections and 3.7 steals per game.

Jordyn is Bowman County's best player and was sorely missed due to an injury to start the season. Once she returned, the Bulldogs found some rhythm and won a handful of games. She nearly led them to an upset Region 4 Tournament victory over Flasher, who was ranked number in Class B at the time. She is a smooth lefty who glides up and down the floor. She has great lift on her shot and steps into her threes with rhythm. She is a great athlete and good defender. Honeyman can definitely play at the next level.

Glandt has shown continual improvement each season she has played varsity. She is going to have a breakout season next year as Valley City's starting point guard. Valley will be a good team next year and I think will find themselves in the state tournament once again in 2027. Glandt does a little bit of everything and does it well. She will have to embrace whatever new role she receives this offseason and she will excel, whether it's an increased scoring role or a continued facilitating and defensive role. Kinslee is a hard working and coachable athlete, something coaches really appreciate.

Ivy played her role to perfection this last season for a Kindred team that fought and clawed their way back to the state tournament. I anticipate her role adjusting going forward with the graduation of her sister Liza and her 25 points-per-game average. Ivy will need to take over some of that scoring load and I think she has the tools to do it. She is already a very solid defensive player. She moves well on the pass, has active hands and gets deflections, and defends without fouling. She flies across the baseline of their 1-3-1 defense and does a good job of keeping the floor spaced on offense with her timely cuts.
