Coach Mario Mincey, Bryan County head coach, is known for getting some of the top high school programs in South Georgia and Middle Georgia together for one of the top events in South Georgia. There was a lot of talent across the board at all 3 locations. Here are the players that stood out on Day 1.
Janaye Walker Janaye Walker 6'2" | C Baldwin | 2025 State GA I 6’2 I 2025 I Baldwin
Walker was a force on both ends of the floor. A player that draws a lot of attention when she is posting strong in the paint. Always in a position to score whether she is on the block or at the high post. A rebounding machine that knows how to catch it high and keep it high. Sees the floor well and knows how to slash when her teammates catch it at the high post. Showed her range when she stepped out to hit the game winning 3 ball against a tough Statesboro team. A player on a lot of coaches radars this summer.
Parris Parham Parris Parham 5'10" | SF Bradwell Institue | 2025 State GA I 5’10 I 2025 I Bradwell Institute
Parham is a tweener that can play inside/out. Has a soft touch around the rim and can step out and shoot the 3 ball. A player that is always working on the offensive and defensive boards. She played with a lot of energy and runs the floor well in transition. Always in a position to score and loves to have the ball in her hands with the game on the line. Knows how to use her body to score through contact.
Alyssa Staten Alyssa Staten 6'4" | C Statesboro | 2024 State GA I 6’4 I 2024 I Statesboro
Staten put on a show in game 1 with 15 points. She showed her ability to score inside and her ability to step out and hit the short shot. A player that runs the floor well and always in good post position. A great passing post player. Sees the floor well and knows how to outlet to her teammates. Also has the ability to deter shots with her shot blocking ability. A player that gets better the more games she plays. D-1 prospect.
Mikaylah Garard I 5’3 I 2023 I Charlton County
Garard is a magician with the basketball. She knows how to make so many things happen when the ball is in her hands. Her court vision and handles allows her to maneuver through the defense. A player whose range starts when she crosses half court. If you take away the 3 ball and crowd her she has the ability to blow pass you and get to the rim. High IQ guard that knows how to get her teammates involved.
Kassidy Neal I 5’10 I 2025 I Baldwin
Neal is a force on both ends of the floor. Has the ability to put the ball on the floor and slash through the defense. Her size creates matchup problems for guards and posts. High IQ guard that sees the floor well and is always finding her teammates diving or spotting up. Has the ability to post up smaller defenders and get easy baskets at the rim. Hard to believe she is a rising sophomore. Made plenty of high light reels throughout the day.
Ta’Tyana Anderson I 5’7 I 2025 I Bradwell Institute
Anderson is the energizer bunny that hustles all over the court. Her energy is contagious and her teammates follow. A player that gets to all the 50/50 balls. Has the ability to score at all 3 levels and does everything full speed. She is not afraid to get up and pressure the ball handlers. She gets a lot of deflections because of her length. A young talent that will be on a lot of radars this summer.
