Haleigh’s 2024 Rankings- Part 2

The 2024 class has some very talented players who look to finish the summer strong and head into next season with momentum. Here are some stock risers from our summer ranking update. <div><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="217337" first="Rylie" last="Homan"], 5-5 2024, Edgewood (up from 35 to 33)- </strong>Makes the move up a couple of spots and her game continues to elevate. She is a next-level point guard with the ability to lead her team to success. Able to run the show in an up-tempo style of game as she has great court awareness and the knack for distributing the ball to the right player. Very good range, able to create her shot, excellent handles and a very solid leadership role.</div> <div></div> <div> <div> <div dir="ltr"> <div><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="280108" first="Samara" last="Gibson"], 5-7 2024 Dayton Thurgood Marshall (up from 44 to 42)- </strong>The one thing that stands out with Sam that everyone notices is her defensive skills and how she can use that to force mistakes which turn into points. Very athletic, excellent ball handling skills and has the ability to take over a game with her speed and quickness. Great body control and can get to the rim against the defense and score. Good range.</div> <div></div> <div><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="448012" first="Cam" last="Hoover"], 6-1 2024, Woodridge (up from not ranked to 45)- </strong>Can knock down the perimeter shot from either midrange or out behind the arc. Defensively she can use her length to create problems around the paint. She cleans the glass and does a good job protecting the ball. Excellent footwork around the rim and just has a nose for the ball. Strong, powerful player.</div> <div></div> <div><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="218276" first="Selena" last="Frost"], 5-6 2024, West Carrollton (up from 54 to 52)- </strong>Super athletic point guard who just makes things happen. Smart basketball player can put the ball on the floor and capitalize with penetration to the rim. Great first step, lockdown defender and is able to force mistakes which leads to points. Able to score in multiple ways. Sees the floor well and can make the extra pass. Heading to the next level with her overall skills.</div> <div></div> <div><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="366785" first="Elena" last="Thompson"], 5-10 2024, Kettering Alter (up from 57 to 53)- </strong>She had a great post-season last year as Alter made the trip to the state finals, where they became champions. Showed resilience getting to the rim, can score with either hand really performed well in the biggest games. Has good range, a nice midrange and moved well to get into position to score.</div> <div></div> <div><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="448013" first="Sam" last="Stask"], 5-6 2024, Aurora (up from not ranked to 56)- </strong>Knockdown shooter from the perimeter and personifies love for the game. She has tremendous work ethic and is very coachable from her demeanor on the court. She is an elite three-point shooter with great court vision and doesn’t let things get to her on the floor.</div> </div> </div> </div>
