Lakers Run N Gun: Day One Recap

<span data-preserver-spaces="true">I checked out the Lakers Run N Gun event at Germantown High School. The event hosted some of the best programs in Southeast Wisconsin. I mainly hung around the 17u games. I have five kids I’d like to highlight.</span> <strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Anna Terrian-Wisconsin Lakers 2023 White</span></strong> Anna has the reputation of being the more defensive-minded of the Terrian twins. However, yesterday she played with a ton of confidence on the offensive end and was the key figure in her team’s win over Impact. Terrian hit a multitude of 3s that mostly came off the dribble. Her game will always be congruent with winning basketball. I can’t wait to see what she does at Pewaukee next season. <strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="338945" first="Makena" last="Christian"]-Wisconsin Lakers 2023 White</span></strong> <span data-preserver-spaces="true">The class of 2025 forward from Hartford was impressive on Saturday. She may be the most well-rounded player in her class right now. Christian can play with her back to the basket, shoots with range, move her feet on the perimeter, and defends in the paint. There isn’t much she isn’t capable of doing. The sky is the limit for her.</span> <strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="156097" first="Reagan" last="Pahl"]-Wisconsin Impact 2023 Witt</span></strong> <span data-preserver-spaces="true">Pahl scored in a variety of ways against Lakers 2023 White. There aren’t many kids who can deal with the power and skill that the Cedarburg native brings. Pahl is one of the strongest kids and one of the bests shooters at the lead guard spot in Wisconsin. Every time I see her, I’m always impressed with her creativity in finishing around the basket.</span> <strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="156077" first="Annika" last="Pluemer"]-Wisconsin Impact 2023 Witt</span></strong> <span data-preserver-spaces="true">Over the past ten months of working at PGH and watching an absurd amount of high school games, Pluemer has been one of the most productive kids I’ve seen. She’s even better than the first time I saw her play at Pius in January. She looks more comfortable attacking and finishing with her left hand and has cut out some out-of-control drives that were her weak spot at Brookfield East. Anyone looking for a high-level offensive combo guard and elite perimeter defender should look at Pluemer.</span> <strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Bella Pitta-Wisconsin Lakers 2023 Black</span></strong> <span data-preserver-spaces="true">I hadn’t seen the Lake Mills product before yesterday, and to say she was impressive would be an understatement. She averaged a double-double over the high school season and showed why that happened yesterday. She dominated the area around the basket. Over the process of going through hundreds of names, she should be on the 2023 rankings and will be the next time around because she has been excellent. </span>
