Today I want to talk about the 12 new additions in the 2023 classes Top-100. I’ll break down what makes these players unique and how their last 12 months have gone. #32 [player_tooltip player_id="440845" first="Syderah" last="Farmer"] The 6-foot-1 wing is one of the smoothest athletes I’ve seen over the spring. She moves like a guard and can space the floor with her jumper. Farmer can move her feet on the perimeter and use her length to defend post players. She averaged 17.7 points and 8.6 rebounds for Bradford last season. #37 [player_tooltip player_id="440846" first="Ella" last="Peters"] There are very few players with as much defensive upside as the River Falls native. She can contest any shot on half of the floor when she has one foot in the paint. Her range on the defensive end is unreal. Offensively she’s still raw but shows signs of being a solid scoring wing. Peters averaged 10.7 points and 8.6 rebounds for River Falls last season. #41 [player_tooltip player_id="440847" first="Annyka" last="Hellendrung"] The 5-foot-8 wing will be an excellent 3&D player at the next level. She’s strong, shoots the lights out, and keeps her assignment in front of her. When I’ve seen her play for Wisconsin Blaze this spring in person and via stream, she’s always making winning plays. Hellendrung averaged six points per game for Waukesha West and shot over 40% from beyond the 3-point line. #54 [player_tooltip player_id="440848" first="Jaydin" last="Nortier"] The Clinton guard has had a solid spring with Wisconsin Impact, preceded by an outstanding high school campaign. Nortier takes and makes a ton of 3s and can defend on the perimeter. She could surprise some people in the Rock Valley Conference during her senior season. Nortier averaged 20 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 4.1 steals per game last season. #66 [player_tooltip player_id="329540" first="Katie" last="Waukau"] The West De Pere wing has one of the smoothest jumpers in the state. She led a young and talented group in scoring last season to a regional final, with most of that core back this coming season. Waukau scored 11.6 points and shot 39.6% from the 3-point line. #75 [player_tooltip player_id="329571" first="Gracie" last="McNabb"] McNabb may be the most under-the-radar kid in the 2023 class. She’s battled injuries most of her high school career and has only recently gotten back to where she wants to be physically, and it showed over the past two months. She moved her feet well and defended some extremely talented wings throughout the PGH Circuit. McNabb also closed the circuit out with 30 points in the 17u Legacy Region title game, knocking down ten 3s. #76 [player_tooltip player_id="440849" first="Margie" last="Stevens"] The 6-foot-1 Green Bay Southwest forward can score from anywhere on the floor. Stevens rebounds and makes plays all the time. She led her team in points and rebounds this past season. #81 [player_tooltip player_id="400484" first="Ava" last="Kok"] I don’t think it’s uncommon to get mesmerized by what [player_tooltip player_id="189502" first="Allie" last="Ziebell"] does when you watch a Neenah game. I’m guilty of that myself. However, Kok is one of the more intriguing talents in a loaded FVA. She plays a secondary guard role and punishes teams who overcommitted resources to defending Ziebell. Even though she’s slightly undersized for an off-ball guard, she defends up well. Kok averaged 10.7 points and 2.8 assists for the Rockets last season. #86 [player_tooltip player_id="432707" first="Elizabeth" last="Poller"] The Platteville guard is one of the most steady point guards in Wisconsin. She understands how to set up an offense and run it efficiently. I think she’s going to be a solid point guard at the next level. She averaged 11.7 points and 3.8 rebounds last season. #88 [player_tooltip player_id="440850" first="Maya" last="Emmer"] The Brillion guard is a solid secondary guard who was a massive part of her team going to a sectional final. The 5-foot-3 guard is a jack of all trades who was the second leading scorer for a competitive team and had 3.6 assists. #89 [player_tooltip player_id="329604" first="Grace" last="King"] The Whitnall guard is one of the most athletic kids in this class. She has had a good spring for Let it Rain and shown she’s able to defend some scholarship-level wings. I highly suggest small schools take a look at her the rest of the summer. #98 [player_tooltip player_id="425332" first="Amy" last="Theilen"] Theilen had come back from an injury and had an excellent regular season and postseason for Columbus. She was one of the biggest reasons why the Cardinals upset Divison 3 favorite, Prairie du Chien. The 5-foot-11 wing/forward averaged 7.9 points and 3.8 rebounds.
