Player Rankings Update: 2023 Stock Risers Pt. 1
No. 15 – 5-11 W [player_tooltip player_id="269506" first="Brooke" last="Moore"] – North Cobb Christian
(Up from No. 26)
Knocking on the door of breaking through, the high upside wing is finally doing so, nabbing offers from Jacksonville and Texas Southern to kick off her recruitment. Moore has monster tools with her length, athleticism, defensive timing and diverse offensive game. Moore is an elite rim protector. She’s a weapon in the high post as a driver, shooter and facilitator. Brooke can hit the three off the bounce. There’s not much that Moore can’t do.
No. 24 – 6-0 F [player_tooltip player_id="307314" first="Zy" last="Thompson"] – Griffin
(Up from No. 33)
Thompson’s length, energy and athleticism make her an impactful presence in the paint. If she catches from the high post, she wants to turn and drive right. She scores all her points in the paint on putbacks and quick moves. Thompson is an agile forward that can also defend on the perimeter.
No. 33 – 5-7 CG [player_tooltip player_id="238220" first="Sharon" last="Tolliver"] – South Forsyth
(Up from No. 42)
[player_tooltip player_id="238220" first="Sharon" last="Tolliver"] is moving up the rankings thanks to her shot making. Playing alongside Team Huncho Nxt-Gen, Tolliver has been able to cash in three-point chances off the catch. She’s a great floor spacer that can also attack downhill when needed. Though she’s on the smaller side, Tolliver has a great nose for the ball and rebounds consistently. In the right system, she can be a plug-and-player shooter with upside.
No. 40 – 5-7 CG [player_tooltip player_id="154608" first="Christina" last="Collins"] – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe
(Up from No. 55)
The centerpiece of the biggest single season turnaround in possibly GHSA history, LFO going from 0-19 to 28-2 this season, [player_tooltip player_id="154608" first="Christina" last="Collins"] was the veteran presence in the lineup, able to play all over. She’s a strongly built guard that can battle for rebounds and start the break. She averaged 14.6 points per game and can play 1-3.
No. 46 – 5-7 PG [player_tooltip player_id="188327" first="Ayana" last="Boyd"] – Lovejoy
(Up from No. 68)
Athletic guard that is aggressive with her on-ball defense. Will rip away steals from timid ball handlers. Likes to play in an up-tempo setting and get downhill.
