The Southeast has always been one of the strongest basketball regions in the country, but the 2029 class is showing just how much depth exists beyond the nationally recognized names already receiving major attention. While states like Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky continue producing headline talent, this region is loaded with emerging prospects who are beginning to build serious momentum on every circuit. Here are some players in the Southeast you won't see ranked on other national platforms...yet:

One of the few 2029 prospects on this national watch list competing at her own age level rather than playing up this club season, Peyton has still established herself as one of the most productive forwards in the country early on. Her height and length immediately stand out, but what makes her especially intriguing is how fluidly she moves, passes, and processes the game at her size. Through the first adidas 3SSB live period, Peyton led all 15U players in scoring at 25.5 PPG while also finishing third in rebounds (9.5 RPG) and second in blocks (2.8 BPG), impacting the game in nearly every area. Her strong start has already led to offers from Michigan and Mississippi State with her national profile continuing to rise quickly.

Standing at an incredible 6'9”, Athiei is currently the tallest player in the 2029 class and already producing against older competition while playing up with Her Elite 16U EYBL. During Session 1 in Arizona, she finished fourth in rebounding at 8.8 RPG while also averaging over a block per game, showing her ability to impact both ends despite facing older and more physical players. Her catch radius is almost unmatched at this level, making post-entry passing unusually easy as guards simply have to throw the ball anywhere near her frame, but what makes Athiei especially intriguing long term is how well she moves and runs the floor at her size. Following her strong first live period, she added an offer from Ohio State.

Ashlyn has established herself as one of the premier guards not only in the Southeast, but nationally within the 2029 class. With good positional size, strong body control, and the ability to score at all three levels, she consistently creates matchup problems against older competition while playing up with 16U AEBL EYBL. Beyond her scoring ability, she rebounds extremely well from the guard position and impacts the game in multiple areas with her physicality and feel. Her upward trajectory and production have already resulted in 10 Division I offers, with recent additions from Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, and Clemson.

Pippi makes the move from the GUAA circuit to EYBL this weekend as she debuts with 16U Southern Starz in New Orleans, bringing one of the more polished all-around guard skill sets in the region with her. A bigger guard who moves extremely well without the ball, one of the strongest parts of her game is her passing ability and feel as a playmaker, consistently making smart reads and keeping offensive flow intact. She also shoots the ball efficiently both on the move and in tight spaces which allows her to create offense without needing much separation. Pippi already holds multiple D1 offers with more to come soon.

Autumn brings a versatile two-way wing presence with the ability to impact the game both inside and out offensively. She finishes well around the rim with either hand, scores comfortably at multiple levels, and consistently plays with a strong motor on both ends of the floor. Defensively, her length and timing allow her to disrupt plays and block shots at a high rate from the wing position. Her growth as a prospect has already earned her multiple Division I offers, with Virginia Tech being the most recent addition.
