Sara Casner (Hoop 10) 2023
Casner shows so much versatility as she can score off the dribble as well as drop the outside jumper, mid to long-range yet she plays within herself and lets the game come to her which is good yet watching her battle for boards against taller players also adds to her intangibles and she scores around the basket, including putbacks
Hope Edwards Hope Edwards 5'6" | PG Leander | 2025 State TX (Phoenix Select) 2025
Edwards is powerful off the dribble and her finishing after contact always has me smiling but she can create her shot with ease as well as drop that mid to long-range jumper with a hand in her face however on the flip, she defends well and has her hand in the shooter’s face plus she does a good job “on the ball” baseline to baseline
Kianna Wormly (Phoenix Select) 2025
Wormly warmly shows an abundance of things she can do yet that temperature can turn up quickly as she has a very nice first step which enables her to get wherever she wants and when you add her body control, at times defying gravity, she becomes an “and one” waiting to happen. She plays the passing lane and can handle the ball in the open court to finish that way as well but her pull-up jumper, either in the set or showing the stop and pop in transition, keeps getting better
Azariah Fennell (Stat Elite) 2026
Fennell left a lasting first impression and let me start with “scary upside” not for me but for defenders and since I don’t fabricate, her explosiveness off the dribble is hard to handle now and she’s playing way up yet that explosiveness also shows in her going coast to coast because she has SWB, the speed with the ball, and while she’s under control to either pass the ball, drop the jumper or finish attacking the rim, all are good signs
Trinity Jackson-Wilkins (Hoop Shop) 2026
Jackson-Wilkins tickled me when I asked what her name was and she responded “you know me and my sisters” and then it hit, OMG, what a growth spurt, and although I hadn’t really seen her in action before, I was definitely impressed by her ability to score fluidly around the basket as well as attack and finish from the wing, yes, this includes after contact. She also rebounded strongly on both ends, nice moves around the rim plus she handled the ball after rebounding
Brooklyn Thomas (Showcase) 2026
Thomas also had me beaming by what she was doing against who she was doing which is another way of saying something many will never get “it’s NOT what you do, it’s WHO you do it against” and her being long and athletic is intriguing enough yet she’s strong on the boards as well as finishing around the basket
