Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Jackson-Wilkins used to hang around the gyms watching her older twin sisters play so watching her have a growth spurt, start playing and go from a back to the basket decoy to a legitimate scorer inside the paint, off the dribble and facing g the basket dropping the midrange has been a treat. Yes, she rebounds and goes “coast to coast” to score, she defends inside the paint, has good timing to block shots and can step out of the paint and defend

Jackson-Wilkins has become not only a terror around the basket, on both ends, but her TABC Showcase performance showed me a totally different look as she not only dropped the jumper from outside, she showed she could defend “on the ball”, see evaluations here

Jackson-Wilkins left no room for discussion as she went through the drills with ease, passing with flying colors, and when the bright lights came on, 5 on 5, she didn’t let up, so I love players who “seize the opportunity”. She went AFTA, did everything off the rim and on both ends, scored around the basket and off the dribble, and dropped the pull-up jumper, step back included. Just as impressive was her defense both in and outside the paint

Jackson also made her presence felt inside the paint as she elevated over defenders to score; elevation also worked as she rebounded on both ends. She did a good job attacking and finishing from the wing and played solid defense

Jackson-Willis sold me before high school after catching her with her club team. Then I had an even better look in high school and now that she’s moved to a different club team, she’s being able to face the basket more and show she can score both off the dribble as well as from outside. She’s strong and can be overpowering, contact is irrelevant yet her rebounding and handling the ball afterward to score or dish is a plus. Well, she rebounds on both ends, scores on putbacks and plays solid defense
