The 2nd Half of July kicked off Thursday in Orlando at the Orlando Splash. A number of teams from all over the country have gathered in Florida for this competitive exposure event. Here are some of the stand outs from the class of 2025 from Day 1 and 2.
Asya Barnes 6’0 Guard – DME 2024
Lefty perimeter player who played the PG position for DME. She played as a pass first mentality but has playmaking ability and can knock down open 3s. She is a high percentage shooter with excellent form and plays with a good bounce and energy.
Brianna Brown 5’10 SG – GT Queens 2024
Brown has a really long wingspan and legs. Potential 2/3/4 versatile guard / wing. She has good strength for a perimeter position, attacking the basket aggressively off the bounce and finishing well vs contact at the rim.
Riley Stoker 5’11 Guard / Wing – GT Queens 2024
Stoker is super long and athletic. I really like her game as she can put it to floor going baseline and she can stroke the 3. She has a huge upside as she has a great body, great athleticism, and great length. Her offensive skill set continues to develop and she has a the potential to be a big time player if she continues to get stronger and work on her game!
Kelly Kane 5’11 PG – DME 2024
Kane stood out for her big, long frame. She is a perimeter player who has a great body and can shoot the 3. She uses her height and length well to shoot over the top of defenders as well as advance the ball up the court over smaller players. She is a high IQ player who has good court vision / passing skills, does a good job being shot ready and spacing the floor. She was a new face for me in day one and look forward to catching her again later in the event.
Jaida Civil 5’11 Wing – 2024 East Coast United Family
Civil is an elite level athlete who does things on the court that make you go “WOW!” She can run, jump, and do some thing around the rim with and without the ball that are crazy!!! She is still learning how to play under control with all the athleticism and as she does that will continue to rise up the rankings and get more and more attention from college coaches. Look forward to watching her continued growth.
Uriah Rosario 5’10 Forward – 2025 Blue Star Orlando
Rosario caught my eye on day 2 at the Orlando Splash. She has an athletic build and ran the floor well for Blue Star. She is 5’10 and as a class of 2025 prospect appears to be still growing. She had a good work ethic with a consistent effort and energy, running the floor hard, being active and around the ball, and looking to score in transition and off offensive put backs.
Jade Jones 5’11 Guard – Miami Suns Kiki 15U
I am a big fan of Jade Jones. She plays hard and gives consistent energy every time I see her play. She is an energy giver who leads by example and gets her teammates to follow. She is low maintenance and just goes to work each and every game. She has good ball skills with a well-rounded offensive skill set. She attacks off the dribble aggressively and gets to the rim often!
Sariah Johnson 5’9 Wing – J Sizzle 2025
Johnson body looks like a million bucks and that she could step onto a college practice and fit right in. She has strong build with broad shoulders, solid base and is athletic and powerful. On the court in the 2025 division she stood out as her body and her game is much more mature than her opponents. She used her strength and athleticism to attack off the dribble and get to the rim absorbing contacting to score or get to the free throw line. At 5’9 she rebounded the ball well from the perimeter snatching balls up in the air and ripping them away from opponents either to score on easy put backs or take defensive rebounds and start the break.
