AAU Awards: 2026 All Stars & Most Valuable Player

What a year it has been for [player_tooltip player_id='252381' first='Maddyn' last='Greenway']. In the spring she led Providence Academy to a high school Class 2A state championship. Then, playing one year up, she directed a truly outstanding North Tartan 2025 Nike squad to an AAU state championship and a string of stellar tournament performances. Meanwhile, the dynamic point guard has been collecting high-major collegiate offers from coast to coast. Now we are happy to add one more award to Maddyn's trophy case: 2026 AAU Player of the Year.

Maddyn's accomplishments are well-known. Ditto for her prodigious skill set, fierce competitive nature, relentless work ethic and excellent leadership skills. As she has grown and filled out physically, Greenway has become even more of a force. The 2025 North Tartan group is loaded with high-end prospects from [player_tooltip player_id='296513' first='Bree' last='Bowman'] to [player_tooltip player_id='262910' first='Tori' last='Schlagel'] to [player_tooltip player_id='212489' first='Sophie' last='Hawkinson'] and more but it is Maddyn who led the way all summer long.

Of course Greenway wasn't the only player to earn accolades this AAU season from the Class of 2026. [player_tooltip player_id='205310' first='Tori' last='Oehrlein'] of Minnesota Suns 2024 Blue Star had a stellar summer and [player_tooltip player_id='478350' first='Kate' last='Amelotte'] of North Tartan Nike emerged as a top-shelf prospect in the class. [player_tooltip player_id='478351' first='Dalia' last='Thornton-Fay'] of Minnesota Stars Nilsen was outstanding, as was point guard [player_tooltip player_id='458302' first='Abbie' last='Pietila'] of Minnesota Fury Blue. Those five are First Team selections. Here are all of the 2026 honorees. Incidentally, these All-Star picks are for Minnesota-based players only. Obviously Lele Bell and Maggie Fricke had an incredible summer for Minnesota Stars Hill but the two North Dakotans are not eligible for our Minnesota All-Star teams.

FIRST TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='478350' first='Kate' last='Amelotte'] – forward, North Tartan Nike (Wayzata)

[player_tooltip player_id='252381' first='Maddyn' last='Greenway'] – guard, North Tartan 2025 Nike (Providence Academy)

[player_tooltip player_id='205310' first='Tori' last='Oehrlein'] – guard, Minnesota Suns 2024 Blue Star (Crosby-Ironton)

[player_tooltip player_id='458302' first='Abbie' last='Pietila'] – guard, Minnesota Fury Blue (Delano)

[player_tooltip player_id='478351' first='Dalia' last='Thornton-Fay'] – guard, Minnesota Stars Nilsen (Roseville)

SECOND TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='478363' first='Maddy' last='Blaylark'] – guard, Minnesota Stars Hill (DeLaSalle)

[player_tooltip player_id='344332' first='Kate' last='Holmquist'] – guard, North Tartan Nike (Maple Grove)

[player_tooltip player_id='478362' first='Morgan' last='Korf'] – guard, Inspired Athletics (Pelican Rapids)

[player_tooltip player_id='339175' first='Brooklyn' last='Lewis'] – guard, Minnesota Rise (New Ulm)

[player_tooltip player_id='362575' first='Callie' last='Oakland'] – forward, Minnesota Fury Blue (St. Croix Lutheran)

THIRD TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='478364' first='Brynn' last='Liebfried'] – forward, Metro Stars (Orono)

[player_tooltip player_id='339179' first='Brylee' last='Miller'] – guard, Minnesota Rise (Fairmont)

[player_tooltip player_id='471360' first='Mya' last='Moore'] – guard, North Tartan Nike (Orono)

[player_tooltip player_id='478365' first='Audrey' last='Schmidtke'] – guard, Crossfire Schmitdke (Lakeville South)

[player_tooltip player_id='458305' first='Audrey' last='Shindelar'] – guard, Southern Minnesota Fury (Stewartville)

HONORABLE MENTION

[player_tooltip player_id='478366' first='Riley' last='Ang'] – guard, Crossfire Schmidtke (Rosemount)

[player_tooltip player_id='455051' first='Vivian' last='Carter'] – forward, Minnesota Fury Blue (Holy Angels)

[player_tooltip player_id='478373' first='Chloe' last='Carlson'] – guard, Starks Elite (Hermantown)

[player_tooltip player_id='280354' first='Tucker' last='Downs'] – guard, Minnesota Rise (Mankato West)

[player_tooltip player_id='478374' first='Betsy' last='Gillette'] – guard, Air Minnesota (Hayfield)

[player_tooltip player_id='478390' first='Sinae' last='Hill'] – guard, Minnesota Stars Hill (Minneapolis Southwest)

[player_tooltip player_id='344333' first='Cail' last='Jahnke'] – guard, North Tartan Nike (St. Michael-Albertville)

[player_tooltip player_id='478375' first='Kadence' last='Pearce'] – guard, Minnesota Stars Nilsen (Ogilvie)

[player_tooltip player_id='478376' first='Anna' last='Saari'] – guard, Starks Elite (Duluth Marshall)

[player_tooltip player_id='252383' first='Lanelle' last='Wright'] – guard, North Tartan 2025 Nike (Minnetonka)
